carnival and cleaning

Well, I survived my first week back to work after Spring Break...officially back in a routine and ready to have a good final 9 weeks with my students. The week was good overall. More time in the evenings to enjoy playing outside which is so nice! We got Easton a water slide that he was loving a couple nights. His school had "muffins with mom" so I got  to go eat breakfast with my man ♥ and we also went to the mall one evening so Easton could see the Easter bunny which he loved. He went right up and hugged him and sat on his lap. Going to Disney in September for Easton's 4th birthday and him getting to see all of the characters is going to be amazing!

Friday night we had a t-ball game. We got back our team pictures and I love them! ♥ Easton is still loving it and it is fun to watch.
Yesterday we had a good day! We went to an easter egg hunt and carnival.
Easton on the loose rounding up his eggs :)
He was so excited about his eggs and loved opening them.

After the egg hunt we went over and he got to play carnival games and jumped in the bounce house.

 BFFs ♥
After that we grabbed lunch and then went to play tennis. Easton loved it, even if "tennis" was eventually him hitting the ball, throwing his racquet down like it was a bat and taking off running. :)

Today was not a very exciting day, but a much needed one. Easton had fun playing with the neighbors and jumping on the trampoline while I was tackling some cleaning. Windows open, cleaning and laundry most of the morning followed by grocery shopping this evening. We did squeeze in a visit to the Otts house and Easton had fun playing with Dean and Vivian.

Hoping for another great week. Happy Sunday ♥

down, but not out

Well Monday night Easton's eye started looking a little puffy and just not normal, so I texted our Pediatrician and she said it was definitely pink eye coming on. :( So she called in some eye drops late Monday night and we were luckily able to start some meds before he went to bed that night...poor guy woke up Tuesday morning looking like this-
So, Tuesday ended up being a lazy day for us at home, which was probably a good thing to force us to sit still. Although it was hard when it was another beautiful day outside. I started feeling yucky too and ended up with fever and trying to feel better myself.
Wednesday Easton woke up with a clear eye and was not contagious anymore...my fever was gone but I was still not feeling 100%. But we had 2 play dates scheduled for Wednesday and I did not want to cancel, and I'm glad I didn't...Easton had such a fun day! That morning we met Millie and her family at the zoo. Easton loves playing with Millie and did not want to leave her! We hung out at the zoo and grabbed lunch before heading home.
We literally stopped at home to refill his water, grab some toys, I took medicine and we were back out to meet up with Elle and James downtown. We met at maritime park which was perfect because it was in the middle for everyone. Summer and Kate played college soccer with me at UCF, so it is always so neat to get together with old teammates! We had balls and bubbles...and an hour and a half later we were having to force the kids to leave. They played so hard :)
We walked around downtown and grabbed some ice cream before heading home to daddy getting off of work.
So, Thursday {another gorgeous day} we met up with Dean and Vivian at the park and Easton got to play with more friends! He is having a blast this week ♥ We went early enough so the kids had the whole park to themselves which was awesome. We left there and found out my dad was playing some softball, so we went to make fun of Pop for a little bit and Easton got to run around the baseball fields before heading home to hang out.

When Drake got home, I went to hang out with Gina for a couple hours. First stop...tattoos :) I got "Godspeed little man" When Easton was a newborn and I was rocking him to sleep, the song Godspeed came on. I had never heard it before but in that moment of rocking my sweet newborn and listening to the song I had one of those moments as a parent where you are completely overwhelmed by the love you feel for your child. I held him with tears in my eyes and felt so lucky to finally be a mom. After that, I continued to play it when I would rock him or sing it to him. Now on the rare occasion that he will let me rock him to sleep, I will still sing it to him, only now he will look at me half asleep and sing along with me. I've had some very special memories with Easton to that song, so I'm in love with having part of the lyrics as my new tattoo.
Friday, which also kicked off our 3 day weekend with Drake {yay!} we went to the beach with the kayak. It was an awesome morning, plain and simple. Kayaks, more shell throwing, music playing, 79* spring weather, both my boys ♥ I was feeling very blessed!

Finally, last night we went to gallery night downtown and although they didn't have the kids area with the "jump jump" that Easton was looking for, he was happy with the football he got painted on his arm and ended his night with a dance battle in the street. What more can you ask for?! :)
It's been an awesome spring break aside from having some sickness. This time of the year is always my favorite! Next month, as always, April is slammed with some fun things planned and I can't wait! I am off to get ready now-Drake and I are getting a lunch date today. Going to eat and look at some model homes, to dream about ideas we want in our next home :)

Spring Break!

Yay! We are on spring break and so excited to have a fun week with no worries! :) I had a wedding Saturday that I worked, so yesterday really kicked things off for us. We went out to the beach and played putt putt again. Easton loves the little course out there.
He had his first hole in one yesterday too!
After putt putt and arcade games, we went downtown for lunch. Easton is cracking me up with this hat lately. It's a hat I got for him 2 years ago and he has rediscovered it and wants to wear it everywhere!
After lunch we went to my brother's house and Easton and Georgia got to play for a little bit ♥
Then it was off to play some golf in the afternoon! We literally do not stop moving-ever.
After golf it was groceries and a very comfortable bed after a long but fun day.

Today we went out to the beach most of the morning. It is beautiful! Easton loved running away from the waves, throwing seashells in the ocean and filling up his buckets with water. This spring and summer are going to be so fun!
Easton did not want to leave, but we had to grab some lunch and go to the dentist. Such an uncool mom move-the dentist on spring break?! Geez. But Easton did awesome and the dentist said everything looked great.
Excited for a great week with my little man. xoxo

Spring Forward

This weekend has been perfect! The weather is so refreshing and just puts you in a good mood. :) One more week of work and I am on spring break! Today we went over to the beach and let Easton play putt putt. Luckily it wasn't crowded, because Easton would play the holes he really liked over and over. This one in particular...
tall and windy. He had a great time! Last time we attempted putt putt he wasn't very interested in playing, he just wanted to roam the course. He was loving it today!
After putt putt, we walked over to the beach and played trac ball and ran back and forth racing Easton.
So thankful for weekends like this! Have a good week.

trains&hammers

Happy Saturday! This week went by pretty fast, I cannot believe we are already in March! Drake finally felt like himself again on Tuesday! Easton had a game Monday night and it is so awesome to watch. He really comes out of his shell and acts confident out there, which is great to see after he was so timid and shy at soccer in the fall. He literally ran from the pitcher's mound to left field for a ball. :) Our uniforms also matched the other team, so at one point he was running bases with his glove on and supposed to be playing defense. It's hilarious.

Today was a great start to the weekend. It's Saturday, the weather was amazing and we had nothing on our schedule. This morning we went to the train museum and walked around and Easton rode the train.

 {The 2 cutest guys ever♥}

After we left there, we went by home depot for the kid's workshop. I have been meaning to go forever but finally found out exactly when they happen. It was so cute. Easton built book ends.

After that we grabbed lunch, went downtown to the park so Easton could ride his bike and run around, followed by an evening of bumming at pop and nanny's. It's been a good day ♥

Whew!

Whew! This weekend has been a whirlwind. Friday Drake called saying he was having to leave work because he was throwing up. :( So he was literally in bed all day Friday except to get up and get sick. I got Easton after work and we had to go straight to opening ceremonies for t-ball. I was already dreading it, but it was freezing and we were standing on a field for about an hour before the team walked to the next field to get recognized. Doing this with a bunch of 3 year old kids on a muddy cold night is no fun. I do have to say, it was so nice to watch Easton do what he was asked to do by his coaches even though most of the kids around him kept getting into trouble. So...once it is time to go to the other field, we were waiting and watching. There are literately 56 teams on this field and Easton is taken by the team mom and they are walking. Then they go to their spot and I can't see any of his team anymore. I did not like the feeling I had, so I started to walk around the back to make sure I could see where his team was...once the ceremony was over it would be chaos and I was not about to lose him. As I turn the corner, the team mom turns it coming out with Easton and he was balling. Once he didn't see me and all of these other teams were all around them including really big kids, he got scared. It worked out nicely because we left and beat the traffic out of there. I was glad that was over.

So Saturday was opening day! Poor Drake was still up through the night sick but you know he wasn't about to miss Easton's first ever game. Easton had us there, my mom and dad, Kyle, Rose, Georgia and my assistant at work even came out.
So this is a hilarious (looking back now) moment my dad of course takes a picture of as I am a hot mess. We had team pictures scheduled and Easton took his individual one and then right after says, "Go pee pee" Oh great! So they were on a very strict schedule getting every team (all 56 again) done that morning, so I look and the bathroom is a not that close. Well, we had no choice, I didn't want an accident on his pants for his first game, so I book it over-holding 42 pounds of cuteness in my arms. By the way, he literately went just a few drips. Seriously?! But this is us running back trying not to miss the team group picture, my shoe untied and all. Nice.
Anyways...we did make it back just in time and then it was finally game time!

Easton had a great time! Once he got a ball in the field, he wanted more...so him and this other boy kept looking at each other and scooting up trying to block each other off from getting the next ball. haha

He loves getting to hit and loves breaking it down at the end. :)
Oh, and don't forget the high fives too.

After that we went back home and I got Drake settled back in bed with meds and Easton and I left so he could sleep. We went to the park and had a good time hanging outside since it was nice.

So, today...Drake is still not feeling great. No more throwing up but just so yucky feeling and trying to get his energy back. I hope he feels better in the morning, I know it is stressing him out wanting to feel his best starting his new job last week!

Easton and I took my mom to the zoo for the day. He literately asks every weekend to go. We have already paid for our annual passes after one month! We had fun hanging with nanny. ♥

After that it was off to the grocery store, packing lunches, doing dishes and getting ready for another week. Praying for a healthy awesome week! ♥
