spring break wrap-up

Well, it was back to reality today :( It was tough getting in the car this morning and my beach bag was still sitting in the passenger's seat taunting me. We had a great Spring Break overall. In addition to what I wrote on my last post, we went to the park again, the park right up the road added a new section and Easton was loving it.

We went on a sweet frog date ♥
And this weekend we had a fun Easter. It was raining most of the weekend, but luckily it cleared up before one of the Easter egg hunts in  town, so we were able to go there. Easton loved his basket from the Easter bunny and was so excited when he saw the prints left on our floor.

We also went to Joe and Rachel's couples baby shower...she is due a month after me. Our group gatherings just keep getting bigger and bigger with all of the kids :)

I went for my weekly appointment today and no progress yet. He said my cervix was still up high and closed. I got my paperwork about attempting a vbac. It makes me nervous but I am hopeful and realistic with this delivery. We talked about how I got up to 8 cm with Easton and then everything went backwards. It could have possibly been because my bones just wouldn't fit an 8 pound baby, so he said if that was the case and she is as big, we would unfortunately be in the same situation. But he thinks I am a good candidate for a vbac and feels comfortable with me trying to have a vaginal birth. Who knows what will happen, I know God is in control and as long as Emerson is healthy that is all that matters.

Have a good week!

Spring Break

Spring Break 2016! Woop woop! We kicked off the break with a little babymoon/early anniversary celebration in Destin. Easton got to hang out with Millie and Jude all day Saturday and stayed the night with pop and nanny and was there until we got back Sunday afternoon.
The trip in total is usually a whopping 24 hours we spend away, but it is always so nice! Here is shopping/eating area right outside of where we stay...
We drove over Saturday afternoon and spent most of our time shopping until we went to check in and get ready for dinner. It had been so long since we had a date night!
The next morning we slept in and then walked over for brunch before heading to a couple more stores and heading home. Short but very sweet staycation! Being 35 weeks pregnant knocked out a handful of the activities we might normally look into doing while we were there, but that's okay.

We were both excited to get home to our buddy. ♥ I have enjoyed this week with him so much and am probably pushing myself a little too much trying to keep up with him, but in the back of my head I know that this is the last break with just me bittersweet. So, I am soaking him in this week and spoiling him as much as possible. We have already been to Sams Fun City, a couple parks, bike rides and adventures, blown bubbles, went to the beach and we are about to dye Easter eggs.

Have a great week! xoxo

We have been busy with our weekly to-dos lately...I feel crazy at work, just trying to get everything to a place where I feel like I could go into labor and everything would be organized and ready to go while I am out. I know I still have about 5 weeks until her due date, but I would much rather be prepared and waiting on her than caught off guard.
pre-t ball started back up with opening day this past Saturday. I love this cute boy so much! ♥
Here he is at bat the other day...

and here he is at the pitcher's mound
Have a good week! Only 3 more days and I will be on Spring Break! SO excited!!

Hey! So first off...all is well with Emerson. ♥ I had my ultrasound and she is measuring right on track and already has her head down preparing for her arrival :) Easton has had t-ball practice during the week and he is into this year! He liked it last year but this year I think he is getting the concept more and getting more into it. The other day after hitting they went to get their gloves and he went as fast as he could so that he could get his glove and go to the pitcher's mound because that's where the most action is in pre t. He is supposed to have opening day this weekend, but we are hoping it doesn't get rained out.

We also met up with my brother and his fam at bounce house last week...staying busy with our evenings. We got all of our remaining items needed from the baby registry in the mail and the stroller is in my trunk and the car seat is ready to go in. Crazy!
This past Saturday the weather was awesome! There aren't too many days left with just the 3 of us hanging out, so we took Easton to the beach and spoiled him all day. We did funny cars, had smoothies, played at the beach and finished with putt putt.
We got our maternity/family pictures back and I loved them :) Enjoy!

Happy Hump Day!
