golf and the gulf

Today has been busy but fun :) This morning we had our Appreciation Week picnic out at the beach and grilled out and listened to music...

I got a $10 gift card to Panera bread from our Director, I will be using that for lunch on Monday! yum After I ate I headed over to Marcus Pointe and played in a charity golf tournament. It went really good, I was pleased with how I played and got to meet some new people. Not bad for a work day :)
Keep your fingers crossed for our beaches, with the oil spills headed our way it is not looking good for us and we are expecting our beautiful white beach to be black in a couple days. It is so sad :( I hate the thought of it.

Well I am off to shower and relax with the hubby and coz. TGIF!!

Today after work we went up to the hospital to see The Lynch family and their new baby, Kendall. She is so cute, and Kaylee was loving her new baby sister. I told Danielle to hold onto her maternity clothes, because I will need them in a few months :) (please!)

Most of you already know, but it is National Infertility Awareness Week. It is crazy for me personally, because it happens at the official one year of trying with no success for Drake and I, labeling me as an official Infertile. I want to thank everyone who has encouraged us through this journey. Blogging has been my savior through this. Being able to be open and honest about everything and seeing others feel the same things, making me feel normal. I have had comments from people I never knew read my blog, and some from childhood friends I have not seen in years! It's been awesome. :)

We have had a good weekend over here at the Wade house :) Yesterday was a rainy day...but I didn't mind because Drake was at work so I slept in and then bummed around for a bit, did a workout, and gave Cosmo a bath. Once he got home we rented a movie and just hung out at the house. Today we got up and went to church...

Then came home and got ready for the beach. It was beautiful out there. Here is Drake with my sunglasses on :) He was trying to make fun of me, but I think he just wanted to wear them and look as cool as me haha

Now we are home and hangin with Cosmo ♥ This week at work is Appreciation week...so we get to wear jeans all week and then we have free lunch tomorrow, free breakfast Tuesday, movie day Wednesday, Ice Cream Thursday, and a picnic Friday with no work :) Not too shabby! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! xoxo

hide and seek

So when Mommy and Cosmo are home alone, we play hide and seek. I tell Cosmo to go count in our room and she will wait until she hears me knock to find me...then she gets a treat :) It doesn't take much to entertain me.

Another Random One

♥My fellow Clomid girls...aren't the symtoms from the meds only supposed to last the days you take it? I take clomid CD 3-7, today is CD 11 and I am still having the worst heat flashes?!

♥I laugh at how naive I was when we decided to start trying for a baby. I started this blog last year and started it because I thought I was going to blog with my pregnancy updates, I thought as soon as you wanted to get pregnant, you got pregnant!? That's how it worked for everyone around me. I looked back and after like month 3 I couldnt believe it hadn't happened yet. I had no idea what I was in for, and the scary thing is, I still don't.

♥I am officially addicted to blog world. :) Not only do I get to read up on awesome people, I get support, and new purchases! I purchased this neclace yesterday after seeing it on another blog. Yay!


♥ Today is Tuesday which=American Idol :)

Oak Mountain

Well we are back safe and sound from our quick camping trip. We had a good time! When we first got there we unloaded the car and the boys set up the tents.

Then we headed off and did some hiking for the evening. It was really nice and the weather was pretty. We went to the top of Oak Mountain and then hiked over to the waterfall. Isn't Drake cool with his water backpack on?! :)

Yay! The waterfall was beautiful, too bad we are all sweaty and nasty.

Then when the sun started going down we settled into our camp site, grilled hamburgers, and played cards while Ronnie played his guitar. They also had a bmx competition going on in the state park, so we stopped by to see some of that. This morning we woke up and went for a walk by the lake and then packed up and headed out, got lunch at Jim n' Nicks bbq and headed home.

Well, i am off to get things ready for the week. Happy Sunday Funday! :)

Happy Friday Everybody!

Yay it's Friday!! I am home because for "work" today I was at our charity golf event, so I was set up at a par 3 under a tree on a beautiful day just hangin :) I was done by 1:00.

On the way home I stopped to grab some snack food because once Drake gets off of work tonight...we are headed camping! :) It will be my first time, isn't that crazy? I am really excited to have a little outing for the weekend. I will write when we get back. Have a great weekend! xoxo
oh PS...I got a vinyl design for our hallway from etsy and just put it up :) We had pictures there, but we are on picture overload in the house, so I thought I would put something else in that spot. So easy to do!

6th times a charm?

Well today I will start my 6th and final round of clomid. If we are not successful this cycle, I will head back to the doctor. We will just continue to do our part and hope for the best. I hope everyone has a great work week! :)

Drake and I celebrated our anniversary tonight at The Grand Marlin on the beach.

I have been looking forward to eating there and it did not let me down. I got Wild American Shrimp & Grits and Drake got...drumroll please...a burger! Everytime! haha

We had a really nice night and I am looking forward to the day off together tomorrow. Good Night

Happy Birthday Vivian!

Today was Vivian's first birthday party :) It was perfect weather so we grilled hamburgers and had some yummy food. Then Vivian opened her presents (well chewed on bows while Jenn opened) and finally ate her first cupcake :) She is so cute.

Jenn, Rachel, me, and Danielle...Rachel was talking with me about baby stuff and it was so comforting. She and her husband (the one peeking around) tried to get pregnant for 2 years before they had success. I needed her reminder today that it will happen for me too. I love my friends!

Now I am catching my breath and then I will get ready for date night with Drake :) Hopefully these dang cramps go away!

Dear "Aunt Ruby"

I hate you. You have been showing up to visit me every month for a long time now and you are not welcome here anymore! You come and hang out for a whole week and have to make sure that everyone knows you are here. One day, very soon, your plans will change and you will not be able to make it in town, and it will be one of the best days of my life. I hope you miss your flight next month.

Well, I took a test early. I couldn't help myself, it was a negative. I'm down but not out I guess. But now I will wait until Saturday to try again, if nothing until then. I can't help but not give up until I have no other choice. Every time I go to the bathroom I get all nervous hoping there is nothing there. I never knew how crazy all of this can make you! It's so draining. Well, back to work...just wanted to update you guys. ♥

So today is our 3rd wedding anniversary :) Drake gave me something that I will cherish forever. He made a shadow box and inside is the coaster and paper from our table (from Macoroni Grill...you know how you have a paper tabletop and they give you crayons to draw) from our first date back in 2005! Drake is amazing and I am so happy I get to spend my life with him.

We will be going out Saturday to celebrate and I am so excited! I am hoping so bad to find out I am pregnant so that I will be able to share the news with him at dinner! How perfect would that be?! Please let this be my month!!!

Great day off

So today I had off for my long weekend. It is amazing what one long weekend can do for your mental health! I am so refreshed. Today has been a nice day with Drake. I layed out for a bit, we went to the bank to cash a birthday check :), stopped by Walgreens to develop pictures so I could update albums (and I got pregnancy tests!) Then stopped by Lowes and got some new mulch, a new plant, and garden flag. Once we got home we worked outside...

we just ate some lunch from our stocked pantry (took care of groceries last night) and plan on going for a walk with Cosmo and maybe bowling with the family tonight. Ahhh productivity feels so good! I hope everyone is having a good start to the week. I hope mine will end well...4 more days!!!!

Kylie is in town, so we went and hung out with her this evening :) I love that kid so much! We played outside until dark and then played a board game.

I am loving all of this excitement going on around me lately, it is helping distract me from the fact that I get to test in less than a week, so maybe the time will fly!

So after the beach yesterday we decided to go eat at Buffalo Wild Wings with Ronnie and Jenn and play some trivia. We also decided that we are all going to go camping in a few weeks! So excited.We ate some yummy wings and then went back out to the beach to Flounders. We just hung out and listened to music for a bit. I had a great 26th birthday!

(Side note: my husband is so good looking ♥)

This morning I slept in for a bit and then got ready for my friend Danielle's baby shower. I had a good time. Of course my mind goes to thinking about one day when I will get to have a baby shower and how excited I will be. :) Oh, I won the game of guessing how big her belly was, so I got a Target gift card. Score!

Now I am back home just waiting for Drake to get home from work. Kylie is in town, so we will be seeing her later tonight! So excited. This has been a great weekend so far! ♥

Birthday!

Today is my birthday, I am 26 years old! That is crazy to me. I have had a great day so far. Drake and I were still up at midnight, so he gave me my gift, an open heart necklace from Kays. I love it! I guess I have mentioned that I like it everytime the commercials come on, so Drake took note :)

I took the day off of work and went to the beach with Drake, my mom, and dad. It was beautiful. We just layed out and relaxed for a couple hours and then stopped for ice cream on the way home.

It's been a great birthday so far! :)
