Well, July is over which means our summer break (that started in March) will be ending soon. Right now, Emmy should be heading back to school 8/17 and Easton will go back 8/24.
I love our summers so much! Here are some highlights from the month.

Our 4th of July fun!
The kids wanted to see fireworks this year, but everything was cancelled...so the neighbors pulled through! It was awesome. We got to hang out in our pool and watch some pretty good fireworks all around us.
Emerson went to a week long Frozen dance camp. She had a lot of fun!

Another perk to summers off is we spend lots of time with Pop and Nanny too. They panic if they go more than 2 days without hanging out with the kids :)
We had a night out for ice cream and an escape room.
Of course we've mixed in more swimming on days we hang at home...
Poor Emmy had to get some back to school shots...given to her from a doctor that came out to the car :( She was not happy. But she is good until middle school now!

Easton went to surf camp again this year. He just did the one day option again. There weren't many waves this year, but he still got up and had lots of smiles throughout the day :)
Logan came over for a sleepover
and we got a golf cart!! I have always wanted one, but figured we would wait until we build on our lot one day and are on the golf course, but we have been cruising almost every evening!
Also, the sidewalk is big enough so that when Emerson starts Kindergarten I can drive up on the golf cart to pick her up from school each day, that will be huge! I have had so many walks, bike rides, scooter rides, and runs (some in the rain) picking my boy up from school...I have earned the life of luxury for my next child and 3 years of pick ups haha
When Logan was picked up from our sleepover, his family hung out at the house first. We have been hanging out with the Stilwell bunch a lot. The kids just all have so much fun together.

We finished up summer golf with the Divot Derby. I posted his June scores...so to finish up his tournaments in July, he had his lowest 42 and then 60. 59 in the Divot Derby, which ended with him in a playoff for 1st place in the 1st division. It was exciting!
He lost in the first hole, but he was so proud of that 2nd place trophy, and so were we. They played some tough holes this year. He has learned more and always did his best out there.

This trio has continued to mix in play days together all summer. Sweet friends 😀
We finally redeemed our Spring Break passes at OWA! haha It was warm, but we were able to go on a cloudy day so that it wasn't terrible with the heat. The kids had a blast!

We got to see mom-moms on the phone. This has been a sad time for her during all of this. I really hope she will stay strong and get better so we can see her in person again soon.
Our neighbors who we have loved next to for 12 years moved :( I have borrowed a lot of things over the years and will miss their friendship.

Overall, I would say it was another good month 😀
Looking forward to August and praying for smooth transitions back to work and school.
Things are still so unknown with what the future holds and how things will look as we head back. People are frustrated, sad, scared and things are just different for sure. We are doing our best to look at the positives and know that God is in control of everything. I trust his plan for us.
