Wade's World: March 2021

March has come and gone! It was such an awesome month for us :) Before I post what we did, here are some campfire pictures we had taken...I love them!

March means Spring is here and we have had some nice weather off and on. No pool sessions yet, but we are ready!

TBall and Baseball practices started. Emerson is on the Tin Caps and Easton is on the Indians.

I wasn't sure going into the season how Emerson would do...this day she caught about 3 balls and then took her glove off, walked off and said it was time for a snack. :)

Easton has been putting in some extra work with Drake and really trying to get to another level. I am so proud of him.

Field Day! So sad we still can't go up and be a part of these special events, but I am so thankful that we are able to be in school and the kids are having fun and staying healthy.

Show and Tell...

For Spring Break we went to Tennessee! I have always wanted to stay in a cabin and wow! This trip did not disappoint! We went with the Stilwell crew and had such a wonderful time!

Splitting the cabin with them allowed us to stay in a cabin that was so awesome! Indoor pool, putt putt, ping pong, hot tub...so much to keep 6 kids entertained! The first day was mainly traveling, unpacking, swimming, movie, games, and stocking up the kitchen.

Day 2: We were slow moving and hanging out before going hiking.

After hiking and getting cleaned up, we headed out for some fun. We were in a perfect spot...secluded enough to be away from everything, but only about 10 minutes from things to do. We started off with the Alpine Coaster. Both kids loved it!

Then we went to the shopping area...got some candy, went to the toy store, and ate dinner.

Day 3: Ahhh the mornings at the cabin. The weather ended up being great after thinking it was going to rain. It was cool but comfortable, fireplace going and kids playing games.

Then we went to the Titanic museum. I was the biggest fan when I was a little girl and was so excited when I watched the movie with Easton a couple months ago, how into he was. He seems to really enjoy history. We had a good time walking through, I really enjoyed the old picture gallery.

After that, we went to Iron Mountain so Easton could forge a knife! This trip overall was not my norm with the lack of planning...I didn't want to take over the plans since we were going with friends. It ended up being the best thing for me!

We actually ended up here because the people who stayed in the cabin before us wrote about their son's forging knifes, so we decided to go on a whim. Turns out, you needed an appointment, but we were there right around an appointment that was a no show, so Easton was able to snag it! :)

After that, we headed to Gatlinburg and enjoyed the beautiful drive. We decided to do the SkyBridge. Which actually ended up getting shut down once we were at the top because the winds were above 35 mph. It was getting crazy up there, but it is a memory I won't forget!

It really was the best! Short and sweet, but we packed a lot of fun and memories into our couple days there. On the way home, we stopped at the University of Tennessee and also stopped for lunch and TopGolf in Birmingham to try and break up the long drive.

Once we were home, we enjoyed a few more days of Spring Break...parks, playing, and pre-season tournament! Oh yea...and throw in a dermatologist appointment too. Poor Easton's warts continue to grow and spread, so we went in.

They are both doing so great! Emerson is so cute out there and is a good baserunner. Easton has been playing 1st and even went in to pitch an inning to finish up a game in their tournament. He struck 2 out and made the 3rd out in the field! I was so proud of him. I am loving our evenings at the ballpark!
