Happy Summer Break! We have really enjoyed our summer so far and the ability to do some more activities out and about...while continuing to pray that things will be okay. With Covid right now, there has been a recent spike, so who knows where things will go from here and what the future holds. As of now, the kids should be returning to school in August and we will wait and see what that will look like for them.
Here is what we were up to in June!

Jude's Birthday Party-
The kids did swimming lessons at our house for a week. It went great :) Ms. Aubrey was great with the kids and they both learned a lot. I plan to keep Emerson in her swimmies this summer, but I want to feel okay about her if she fell in and could at least get herself to the steps or the side.
After a lot of back and forth, we were so happy that baseball ended up happening this season. We had a sweet group of kids and Easton had a blast playing shortstop and having Pop and Drake out there coaching.
We have been able to go bowling again, and it is Kids Bowl Free during summer break, so they love going up there and getting 2 free games of bowling. Easton loves a good deal! He cracks us up with that. We went shopping the other day and he couldn't decide between 2 shirts, but finally picked. When I asked what made him choose that one, he said "because it comes with a free hanger!"
The summer golf tour was also able to start back up! Easton now plays 9 holes instead of 6 and the holes are a lot longer than last year. This age group plays par 5s from over 300 yards, so it has been an adjustment for sure. So far he has shot 57, 60, 54, 52. He is trying so hard to get in the 40s.
Emmy had her 4 year old checkup too! Everything looks good! Just a quick check up, but her next one will be all of the fun shots needed before Kindergarten.
We continue to use the pool almost everyday. We love it!
I took the kids to a new place in town called Pinspiration. We had a fun day! Painting and throwing paint on each other. I love anytime we get the chance to do something we have never done before.
Drake and I had a date night. It was the best! We discovered a new favorite for dinner, it was SO good. Then we went on a ferry ride for the evening. Oh how I love our date nights ♥

Tuesday golf tournament day. Easton plays in the morning and then it has become the tradition to get a happy meal on the way home.
Stopping by to visit Mom Moms...I'm glad she gets to see the kids, even if it is through the gate.
Pet store pit stop...Emerson wants a "real doggy at ours house" so bad! :)
Easton has been invited to go do things with friends which is so nice. I am glad he has been able to have some social interactions with friends again. It's so important!
Then we all went to the beach one day with the Stilwell crew. The kids all have so much fun together and Emily has every Friday off, so we usually end up hanging out.

And this week's golf tournament. It was HOT! You can see how Emerson felt about it! After every hole she would ask if Easton was done yet.

Overall it was a great month! It has been so nice to go out and do things again. Hoping for a good July filled with lots of fun and even more summer memories we will never forget! ♥
