Fall Break

Well what do you know, this week flew by! It was a good, low key week with my family. We went to my parent's house for Thanksgiving and had a bunch of awesome food. 

Friday I took Easton out to the beach. He was checking out the seashells and of course chased the birds around. :)

 We did some shopping, lounged around the house, went to a football game, and just played and enjoyed the week. 

Yesterday evening I met up with Heather and we had dinner and went to Seville for a bit. 

And today we put out our Christmas stuff and read Elf on the shelf to Easton. He is very tempted by the ornaments on the tree :) I wrapped a couple presents the other day and I can tell this will be a very fun Christmas! He was wanting to rip the paper off of the presents I was wrapping. 

Finally, this evening we went to dinner at Mellow Mushroom. good stuff. 

Back to the grind tomorrow...but only for 3 weeks until Christmas Break. ha!

We went and played some tennis this afternoon. It was fun :)

I lost to my dad. ugh. He always beats me and it's so annoying. I will get him one of these days.

Heelllloooo fall break! :)

I am SO excited that it is fall break! Drake is working today, but he will have a half day tomorrow and then Wednesday and Thursday off! I am pretty excited about the forecast for my week off as well...

Yesterday we got a babysitter and had a afternoon/evening date over in Destin. It was so nice to have some one on one time with Drake. 

 Of course we hit up the Polo store they have over there, and they were having 30% off the entire store along with other clearances going on...Drake was like a kid in a candy store :) I got a couple things, I'm pretty proud of the $270 purse I got for $40 bucks, score! Drake got his Christmas taken care of, and of course we had to get Easton some stuff. We made out like bandits.

 After shopping all evening, we went and had dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp before calling it a night. So far today I have been hanging out with the sweetest boy in town. ♥ We went up to the soccer fields and played and he watched helicopters flying over and then we went to the park, he was too busy climbing to look up at me :)

Day off

I am so thankful for this day off with Drake and Easton! We started the day getting ready and going to take a couple pictures to hopefully get one that we could use for a Christmas card this year. I can't get over how big Easton is getting and the fact that he is 14 months old already. This Christmas is going to be SO much fun!!

 But of course we had a handful of crazy looking ones along the way. :)

 I only have 4 days of work and then I am off for a week! I couldn't be happier ♥ ♥ 

Half Marathon

Well...I did it! :) I completed my first half marathon. I hate running and training for it was brutal but it's one of those things I've always wanted to do, now I can mark it off the bucket list. My one and only goal for the race was to not stop and walk at all, and I accomplished that. 

 Most people probably run as a stress reliever to clear their mind, but count on me to think about life and deep thoughts along the way. :) With about 2 miles left, my music playing was very um dramatic and motivating as I was reaching the end and digging deep not to stop. We were downtown and the route included me running past my old office building when I did social work...one of the worst years for us. A job I hated and infertility at it's peak. I thought about that year and how far we have come since then. Shortly after, I turn a corner and I see my mom with Easton is his stroller :) They ran a block with me and cheered me on while my dad took pictures. Then Drake was a little further up watching me finish. ♥ 

 Very cool experience and I'm glad I did it. :)

Friday Night Lights

It's the weekend! Last night we went up to the football game...Easton sat in my mom's lap almost the whole first half of  the game, just staring with drool rolling down his chin and just taking it all in. :) Then after a little while we went down on the end of the field and he was able to run around the grass area for a bit. 

 We won districts! It was a good game and we had fun. Easton even got to see some of his girlfriends. :)

Today daddy is at work again. Boo Saturday workdays! So me and Easton went and got smoothies and went shopping this morning before he crashed early for his nap. As soon as he wakes up we are headed to watch the girl's soccer game up the road. He LOVES being outside and it is pretty today so it should be fun. Then tonight it's off to my parent's house for food and football!! :) Happy Saturday!

Trick or Treat

Yesterday was fun with my guys. We got off work and got our big man ready for Halloween. He was Charlie Brown :)

 Then we went to the Lynch house for the kid party :) Trey's parents have us there each year and cook for us and have a cute setup for the kids. It is so nice of them!

Overall Easton had a good time...he just wanted to go up and down stairs at the houses all night. And if they had a step up into the house, he was trying to go in. haha Love that boy!
