Worst blogger ever right here

This is just not my year for blogging haha I feel like I rush on about once a week to dump my crappy cell phone pictures on here before moving on to the next thing. But, it's a good thing...we have been busy having fun and I guess it shows that Drake has an awesome schedule now because we are always out and about. Last weekend, yea I know we're already almost to this one...we went on a dinner date. 

 We went to Fish House (standard ha) and then the plan was to see a movie but we both thought we would fall asleep. Official: we are old and boring. Easton has had a bad cold for a week now and it's been hit or miss on his sleep, so we are worn out. 

 Last weekend we also went to Rose's bridal shower. This is my mom and mom-moms :) It was a Tiffany/sex and the city theme. I can't believe my brother is getting married next weekend! It will be fun. I can't wait to see Easton in his little tux. 

Besides our weekend fun, we have also been on the go during the weekdays overall. We went to the park, 

  colored, 

 went to Chuck-E-Cheese last night, got groceries today, blah blah. Life is good ♥ I'm excited for spring weather to start rolling in and thankful for our crazy busy days. xoxo

3 awesome things

1. I have the coolest kid on the planet. This is him flexing for the camera sporting his new aviators♥ 

2. I have the sweetest most thoughtful and selfless husband. He is spoiling me for Valentine's Day already, but he treats me like a queen every single day. I love him. 

3. My job is awesome. I get paid to hang out with these kids everyday! :) 

Baseball Boy

Lots of fun with my boys lately. Easton loves his sports :) He played quite a bit of baseball this week. We made a trip to Toys R Us, did our Gymboree class, I had a shoot, and we went to Jenn and Ronnie's for dinner tonight. Easton and Dean were giving each other high fives. Cuties :)

Seriously?

How in the world is it already February?! Things are smooth sailing with us. Busy all week and having fun with our weekends. This past week was mainly filled with work, hanging with my boys, a much needed haircut, grocery shopping, and trips to the gym.

Once the weekend was here we headed to our Saturday morning Gymboree class. I love watching Easton have so much fun. He has gotten more and more comfortable every class. He loves parachute time! :)

Last night we got a babysitter and headed out to the beach for Ronnie's birthday. We had dinner at Sidelines and then went to the Sand shaker to hang out and listen to music.

The weather lately has been so wonderful! We have been outside as much as possible. This morning we went to the hiking trail near our house and then played soccer before Easton's nap. He liked looking at the turtles and fish. 

And finally to wrap up the weekend, we went to my parent's house to play and watch the Super Bowl. 

While we were outside, my dad went to do some work with the chainsaw and it kept shutting off. He didn't get any work done, but we all enjoyed a good laugh. :) Love this boy!!

Thankful

It's been a great couple of days. Last week my dad retired! I am so proud of him and so thankful that he can enjoy some time to do whatever he wants now. He put in a lot of years at a job he hated to sacrifice for our family while I was growing up. He always used any leave he had saved up to take off and watch me and my brother compete in our sports or anything that was important to us. It was never about him. Now hopefully he will have some time for him that he deserves so much. If you know my dad this is not surprising, but he did not tell anyone at work he was retiring. He said he didn't want some fakey retirement thing where they buy a cake haha So one day he was there and the next he was gone. He left his co-workers one last note...

GET BUSY LIVING OR GET BUSY DYING... 

For those of you who saw The SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, I essentially did a Andy Dufresne. Yes I've escaped from Shawshank... er I mean the Jordan Street Post Office.
Like Andy, I'm on the beach getting my boat ready (although I don't have a boat or can't afford to live on the beach); metaphorically I'm already there.
Will I have enough money?...No one ever has enough money; but I plan to be happy!

I won't miss for a minute going in that building although I'll miss the friends I've made, the handshakes, fist bumps and wassups. I still lack some quarters to get S.S., so at some point I'll probably work part-time somewhere to get those.

I hope for the rest of you that the Titanic stays afloat long enough for y'all to get off.

Now Easton gets to spend his time with Nanny AND Pop while Drake and I are at work. Yesterday I was sent some cute pictures and I couldn't wait to get off and start the weekend!

He's so spoiled :)

This week I also went to dinner and the nail salon with Sydney and Allison. Sweet girls!

I also meet up with Sydney and Kali every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday night once Easton is getting to bed for workouts. I'm enjoying having them to workout with on a set schedule. 

We have fun :)

 Today was a great Saturday family day. Still SO thankful that Drake has every weekend off! We did our gymboree class this morning, came home for nap, and then it was out to the beach yet again. Easton is beyond obsessed with kicking a ball wherever we go.

Lots of awesomeness!

It's been an awesome few days around here! The sun decided to make an appearance after being gone for at least a week straight. We took Easton up to the soccer fields a few times...he LOVES it! I know I'm his mom and whatever he does is awesome to me, but I'm pretty convinced he has some amazing soccer skills for only being 16 months old! 

I got a new car. I decided to trade my SUV in and I could not be happier! So pretty :)

I've had too much at the gym with Sydney :)

Drake and I got dressed up and had a great date night ♥ 

 We went and watched Kylie at her horse riding lesson.

woo hoo weekends!

 It's been a while since I wrote, we have been good. Just staying busy with the norm and we are also slowly re-doing our kitchen. We are doing it on our own so we will just do some work when Easton is sleeping. Friday night I went to the gym with Sydney. We had fun...

Saturday we went to Gymboree in the morning. Yea...I said I was going to do the summer there but after showing the schedule to Drake, we are able to go on the weekend all together and my mom can take him during the week if she would like, so we went ahead and signed up. After coming home and napping,  Easton had a date with Elle :) They were interacting a lot more this time and it was so cute. It was a fun day, Easton got a ton of playtime in. 

This morning we went up to play soccer at the fields with Easton, went grocery shopping, did some cleaning and got some things accomplished before nap time. Such a sweet boy ♥ 

Once he woke up we headed to the beach for the evening. 

Easton really enjoys the sand and heads straight to the water and would probably dive in head first if we let him. This summer will be so fun. Last summer he still wanted to eat the sand and shells. haha

He LOVES birds. Of course I have to take food to throw so they will come around us and Easton can chase them off, even though sometimes they creep me out. :)

Easton enjoyed watching the surfers today too. Hopefully Pop will take him out and teach him one day :)

The beginning and the end

 Well, today was Drake's first day at his new job! He texted this morning and asked if we could stop by so he could show us his new setup...another benefit of this job, it is 5 minutes away. He is the new sales rep for the landscaping company and had already landed a couple deals just a couple hours in. :) Drake is awesome at whatever he does.

 Today is also my last day of Christmas break. After we left Drake we headed to the mall and I went to get more info on Gymboree. Easton's age group was about to start a class so they said we could do a trial class if we wanted. um yes! He loved it!

He was climbing all over the place, running, kicking, throwing and just exploring all over. We signed up for the summer when I will be off and we can go to classes and open gym during the week together. It will be fun. :)

Well, Easton's down for his nap and I am about to enjoy roly poly and take a breather before round 2 starts. xoxo

Twenty Thirteen

Happy 2013! Today is a gorgeous day...a perfect refreshing way to start a brand new year. Last night we rang in the new year at the Lynch Pajama Jam as usual :) We had so much fun!

We played games, sat by the fire, the boys shot a potato gun (yes, really), and we rode around on the golf cart...and I of course had the best new years kiss ever. ♥
