2014

I can't believe this year is already almost over. As always, I wanted to do a re-cap with some things from the year. It is always hard to pick through all of the pictures but nice to sit and look back and the ups and downs from the year and to think about the upcoming new year. I think the biggest memory from 2014 is Easton starting his speech journey. Right when the new year started we were told he may have apraxia and my life was thrown upside down with what could lie ahead of us. The hardest part has been the unknown and the fact that only time will tell. Thinking back to January, he was only saying "ah ba" for everything and now he has sentences and attempts to echo everything he hears. His progress has been amazing and I thank God for that. 

 We continued to pack as much fun into our days even though we had a lot on our minds. We took trips to the beach, 

 I did a color run with my brother and Kylie, 

 got a new tattoo (God is my anchor) 

 and we had a couple unexpected days off at home because of ice :)

In February we went to Destin, 

 played golf, 

 played at the park, 

 went to the Opry house

and a white trash bash haha

In March we enjoyed more beach time, 

 Easton started gymnastics which was great for him, 

and we had a great spring break!

 In April I celebrated turning 30

Took a personal day off of work and went to Destin for shopping and a photo shoot-so much fun!

We purchased a new lot to one day build our dream home on. I am going to love having a lake out of my back window :)

we had an Easter egg hunt at my brother's house, 

 hung out downtown, 

 went to NAS

 and our town had some devastating flooding. :( 

In May me and my mom did a painting class, 

 we enjoyed gallery night, 

  took a trip to Panama City to celebrate our anniversary,

 and went to some baseball games-Easton loved them this year!

In June I was officially on summer  break! We had so much fun!! Easton transitioned great into his big boy bed, 

 we spent a ton of time at the beach, 

 we continued speech and had appointments to check different labs and possible issues-all came back normal! :)

 we played golf, 

 spent time with friends, 

 went to the Explorium, 

 got invited to a gala

 and did a girl's weekend trip with Sydney. 

In July we had an awesome trip up North for the 4th! 

 Easton LOVED water country♥ 

 we tackled potty training, 

 went to birthday parties

 and enjoyed pool days. 

In August we soaked up what little time of summer we had left before a big month

 Easton started school!

 and soccer back to back. 

In September we took Easton to build a bear for his birthday,

 watched a lot of soccer 

 celebrated Easton's 3rd birthday!

 and had fun at pep rallies. 

In October we did a family shoot at the fair, 

 went to sweet season farms, 

 and spent a lot of time outside enjoying the fall weather. 

 Drake lost his grandad Frank, and I am thankful he was able to fly up north to be with his family during that time. 

In November Easton went on his first ever field trip, 

 we went to the Arts festival. 

 played with friends, 

 went fishing

 and started getting ready for Christmas! 

This month was awesome with a ton of fun Christmas outing to parades and to see lights, 

 Easton had another field trip, 

we enjoyed a night out, 

got a bounce house membership, 

 Had an awesome Christmas day! 

And have been soaking up every minute of this Christmas break! 

I am so thankful for everything in our lives. This year had it's ups and downs, but Easton is doing so great and I am excited to watch him blow us away in the coming year. He will continue school and will start pre-tball in the spring. 2015 is going to be awesome ♥ Happy New Year! 

go go go

It has overall continued to be gloomy and cloudy out, but that's not stopping us from being on the move! Yesterday we went to the NAS museum. Easton always loves looking at all of the airplanes and exploring through the building. He kept talking about the airplanes all day. 

Today we headed over to Destin for the day ♥ We had so much fun! Shopping, build a bear, lunch, ice cream, go carts and arcade games! :) 

 We had an awesome day!! 

Thankful

Not only am I off of work and Easton out of school until January 5th, but Drake is also off of work until January 5th! I am so thankful for this time off! Since I wrote last, we went to a light display that included a train ride and then across the street walked around another display that had a ton of huge blow ups. Easton was in heaven! :) I

Christmas Eve was a great day at home, making cookies for Santa and watching Christmas movies. Easton used a whole bottle of sprinkles on 4 cookies :)

This year's Christmas morning was so amazing. I didn't snag many pictures because I am trying to do some more filming over the break, but Easton kept talking about Santa coming when he went night night and was going to put presents under the tree. Being Santa on Christmas is so much better than getting presents from Santa. Easton was so excited and LOVED opening his presents. 

We opened presents at our house, and Easton skyped with his Babcia and Grandad while opening their presents ♥ and then headed to my parents and opened presents and ate lunch there. It was a nice day outside, so we went up to the baseball fields to test out Easton's new bat and bike. He is beyond obsessed with his sports! I can't believe he will start playing pre-tball this spring! He loves to hit and run the bases. 

Yesterday my mom watched Easton for a bit while we went and played soccer golf! A course near here just started it and we had a blast! 

 After soccer golf, it was off to the park to play and dinner in town with d&e. We have been busy and having a lot of fun! :) 

I can't believe it's almost 2015! 

Holiday Fun!

Hey guys! Well, first off...NO CANCER! Thank you for all of you that were praying for my mom. We ended up having to wait a little longer to hear back because there were some suspect cells they had to send off somewhere else, and they will keep monitoring everything because the tumors are growing, but we are very thankful for the no cancer news right now. 

We have been very busy lately enjoying the holiday season. We went to the downtown Christmas parade which was SO crowded, but we had fun. This is just such a fun age/time with Easton. He is loving everything about Christmas and I am so excited for Christmas morning this year with him! 

My TV Production kids came to our house for a Christmas party. I love that this is part of my job. I have so many wonderful memories with my production class in high school and love having such a close group...several of them plan to go into journalism in college and some of my former students are currently in production/film classes at their colleges and that is so exciting for me. 

Every April we go to the state competition to compete...I am excited to start planning our trip when we go back to work. 

At Easton's school, he has been doing great and I got to enjoy another field trip with his class to the Christmas tree farm.

Friday night was gallery night and we got a babysitter and met up with Whitney and Tyler downtown. 

We had fun...and were pooped at 11:00 and came home haha

The last couple days have been pretty gloomy, cold and rainy...so we have already gotten our moneys worth out of the bounce house place! :) 

About to get ready for a Christmas brunch and then I work a 1/2 day tomorrow and am off until January 5th! woo hoo! It's going to be an awesome break!

Parade, Playing and Praying

This past weekend I was up early on Saturday for a family session and then we had our annual Christmas Parade that passes by our house, so we went out back and enjoyed that Saturday afternoon. Easton loved getting candy and beads. We had fun ♥ 

 After that, we went to my parents house for football. My mom was still in pain from her biopsy. She had to lay awake as they drilled into her hip bone and stuck needles in :( We are still praying and impatiently waiting to hear what they found.

 So, today we went to a new bounce house place that just opened last weekend...score! With it being cold and dark by the time we get home this place will be great! I went ahead and got a month of unlimited visits since we will be off work during Christmas time and can go a good bit. Everything was nice and new and not crowded at all (yet) But it will be a perfect after school thing for us...I will avoid the weekends for sure! But it made me so excited! My brother and Rose got Georgia a month too. 

After bouncing and playing his little heart out Easton went and laid on his daddy (who was clearly tired from playing too) and watched Mickey Mouse Christmas. A nice quiet evening with my boys with the Christmas tree lights on. Best thing ever. 

Praying

Praying for my momma while she is in Jacksonville at the Mayo Clinic for appointments today and tomorrow. Bone tumors were found on her hip and X-rays today were showing they have grown. Tomorrow she has a biopsy with a Orthopedic Oncologist. Believing they are benign. ♥ 

Impromptu hangout

Part of our impromptu hangout session last week with the Mahaffey family. I feel very lucky to have a friendship with Easton's pediatrician. ♥ I can go to her anytime with questions about Easton and know that she genuinely cares.
