lots of water and sports

Well, summer 2018 is off to a great start. We kicked off June with our Home Depot workshop :) Both of the kids love building and painting, so I'm sure we still have several of these in our future. This month's project was a car.

We went over to a new splash pad in Gulf Breeze. It is nice...a little bit of a drive, but perfect if we are already coming or going to the beach. Hoping that we get one close to our house in the near future.

and we started golf! Last week we only got 2 holes done before thunderstorms caused them to reschedule. It's so weird and neat going from the player to the parent. I had the pre-golf nerves going just like I used to before I played a tournament. 

Our water slide has already gotten a lot of use. Daytime? Evening? Underwear? Naked? No problem! haha

 Easton lost his 6th tooth! 

 Then over the weekend we made our rounds at birthday parties. Wake up, party, nap, party, bed.

Play place with e&e. Easton was such a sweet brother following Emerson around, holding her hand and making sure she was okay. That is a nice thought, but Emerson is the last person I am worried about when it comes to getting hurt or someone messing with her. :) 

Yesterday, we got to complete our round of golf at Easton's tournament. My parents are out of town so I was texting my dad after each hole with updates from his caddy :) He got 2nd place and shot a 43. I was so proud of his effort. We just kind of threw him into it and he has only been playing about 3 weeks now. He liked it and made some new friends. On the last hole, they took off their hats to shake hands. So cute and such a great character building sport.

Today Easton had Racquet Round Up. Just a 1 day fun tennis camp. Glad he was able to run around for a while this morning now that we are stuck inside with thunderstorms again. We did tackle another task on our summer list-tying shoes. :)

Summer is here!!!

Hello Summer Break! I am excited to spend the summer with my babies :) It feels a little different this time around because I am not truly stopping work. I chose to have some students online over the summer for a little extra money, so I will try and tackle that a little each day during nap time. Gotta save up...we are planning to go to Disney next spring! 

To recap the last couple weeks...Emerson had her last follow up at the hospital. Her thumb healed great from her surgery. We have 3 weeks of therapy left. That is a little bumpy. Trying to get a 2 year old to do certain things with her non dominant hand for an hour straight is a big task some days. 

Easton had his team party at the Wahoos game. The kids got autographs and ran onto the field with the players. It was a fun evening. Next stop-coach pitch! 

Friday night basketball...

We have had a few (of many to come) pool trips

and FINALLY got to celebrate Emerson's 2nd birthday. We had a fun afternoon at the house with friends. 

Then a couple days later is was Drake's birthday-35!

Easton has been out to practice golf a little bit. We are going to try that out this summer and see if he likes it. He has his first tournament Tuesday! :) 

We had a yucky virus hit Emerson. :(

But not for long :) 

Easton had his spring sing and awards day at school. He had such a wonderful year of Kindergarten. Came home with a perfect report card all year. He worked so hard and I am so so happy and proud. I can't believe we are headed to 1st grade.
