Kicking off the new year

Happy 2019!
Our January has been good, getting back into our routine with school and work and kicking off basketball games for Easton.

Easton seems to be enjoying this season of basketball overall...and we have loved watching him play-as always! He is the little dude out there this year, so still learning more about stealing the ball, free throws, etc.

The weather is hit and miss this time of year, but when it is nice on the weekends-we take full advantage of it! We had fun doing lunch at the beach with friends and then took the kids to play putt putt

In between work and basketball, we have been doing the gym and have made some good new friends through that...counting down until our competition next month. I am definitely nervous about it, they released the second workout the other day and we did it yesterday at the gym together and it is a tough one. But it will be so fun to do it with Drake-just going outside of my comfort zone and doing something we have never done before.
Ending with sleeping kid pics ♥

Christmas Break

I am still on Christmas Break through this week with the kids, but we enjoyed having daddy at home with us all last week! :) We went to our gym's Christmas party...
Winter fest,

Babcia, Grandad, Melissa, and Kyle were here for a few days so we went to the park,
enjoyed the beach,

and swimming on Christmas Eve! :)

I totally forgot about pictures on Christmas morning, I mainly took some videos of the kids opening presents. Easton got some new switch games and Emerson loves her food truck and microphone. Then we went to Pop and Nanny's house for brunch and presents.
Since then, we went bowling and had a play date with friends.
It's been a good break with the kids! ♥

2018 year review

Happy 2019! Before I start my inconsistent terrible blogging for the new year, I wanted to get on and do a quick review of 2018. :) 2018 was overall a pretty good year for our family. Easton continued to stay busy with sports: playing football, tball, golf (first year for that) soccer, and basketball. He finished a great year of Kindergarten and started 1st grade. We celebrated 11 years of marriage, Emerson turned 2 and Easton turned 7. Emerson continued to stay at Fay Fay's house and is patiently waiting for her chance to start some activities. :)

As far as trips, we went to Virginia for spring break which was also when Emerson's terrible accident to her hand happened, leading to surgery, casts, and therapy this year. :( Then we did our usual Destin weekend and Orlando for Drake's managers weekend for work. Along with camping and some day trips to OWA, Big Kahunas, the Explorium, and Urban Air.

We drank the Cross Fit Kool Aid a few months ago and are loving working out all together when we can, and the kids love going to our new gym. We plan to do a couples competition in February so we are excited for that. We are both still very happy with our jobs and look forward to another great year with them.

I think that is about it! Not too much to say, and I know a lot of people think the new year/resolutions are silly. But, I do appreciate the opportunity to look back and reflect and take the opportunity to remember what you are thankful for and things you want to improve on for yourself moving forward. Looking forward to what God has in store for our family in 2019.

Happy New Year!
