Well, naturally it has been about a month since my last post. Lots of good stuff to highlight but we also had a couple roadblocks thrown our way in November. 

Here's my recap....

We finished out the open at the gym. Always a fun way to spend Friday nights, working out with friends, the kids get to eat, run around and play, and then we also ended with a night of worship too ♥ 

Just some cuddles with my girl. She is getting so big and there have been more days lately that her and Easton truly are best buds playing together, I guess just the older she gets, the more she can do more with him...and also fight back that much more on the other days.

I had a girl's night dinner/baby shower with Emily and some of her friends. I can't believe they are about to have 4 kids running around. We really love their family, and I am really excited for them!

We busted out Easton's old bike and Emerson has been loving riding around with training wheels feeling like a big girl. 

We had a day off of school, so we went to Fast Eddies with Pop, in the past Emerson did not care for the go-carts, then she would ride but I would go pretty slow and just hang on the outside and let everyone pass haha but now she loves going as fast as possible and trying to win our race! :)

Doctor visit for Emmy...

And we have had our share of lazy evenings thrown in with it being dark so early. We have been redoing some things in the house...I don't remember if I mentioned it before, but we were kind of at a point where we either wanted to go ahead and start looking into building on our lot or stay here longer and do some renovations. So...we ended up deciding to stay here for now. 

It's just so convenient living next to the school, so we might as well be here until Emerson finishes school there (2nd grade) at the minimum. So, this is our current living room. Just lightened up the paint, new furniture, rug, and TV stand. I am really liking it. The new kitchen should be done next week and then I think we are looking at putting in a pool to enjoy the next handful of summers! 

I am excited to one day build our forever home, but I am just not ready for the stresses of building that and moving yet...which means it will make leaving this little "starter" home that much harder one day. I do love our house and the memories that have been made...almost 12 years spent here already!

We finished up our soccer seasons...

Emerson was so proud of her first ever trophy :) 

Sickness also hit our house in November...boo! Emerson had more of a sinus infection, just felt yucky and needed antibiotic. Easton and Drake got the stinking stomach bug. Poor guys! I am the worst mom ever when they get throw up sick...Pop and Nanny were the real MVPS when Easton stayed home sick from school all day, and came over to hang with us. Then a couple days later, Drake got it, so I took the kids out and about so he could sleep and I could just be in a constant state of worry if it was going to continue going through the house. :(  

Then, the following week, I was working and got a call from my mom. She went to pick up my grandma for an appointment and found her laying in a pool of blood. We later found out that she had a stroke and when she fell, hit her head. It makes me so sad that we have no idea how long she was laying there helpless...and trying to get to the phone on the table. There were bloody hand prints on the legs of the table and all underneath from her trying so hard. 

I went to the hospital and it was a hard evening. They were preparing us for the worst. She is now paralyzed on her left side and just having a hard time. But since it happened, she is now in a rehab facility and working so hard with her speech and other therapies to try and improve a little every day. 

The kids went to visit Santa. Easton wants a hover board, a little robot toy, and Luigi's Mansion game. Emerson wants a Barbie car, Minnie phone, and we mentioned to Santa that she liked Gymnastics when she couldn't think of a third thing to tell him. :)

We enjoyed Fall Break...Drake took a couple days off too since we had the whole week off. We grabbed some family pictures too. 

We had Thanksgiving at our house this year. My parents and my brother and his family came over to hang out.

Falling into Winter

We have had a good few weeks since I wrote last! We had a fun family day out at the beach. Hanging at the boardwalk, a fall festival with some games, and lunch at DQ on the way home.

The weather has been all over the place. It was hot, then lots of rained out soccer games/practices, mixed in with some beautiful fall days and even some cold ones too. 

Gym friends :)

Emmy had a doctor's appointment...our old doctor decided to open her own office with a Direct Primary Care set up. We loved it! None of the typical doctor's office stuff...no waiting room, receptionist, co-pays, etc. Just us and the doctor in what felt like her living room. We pay our monthly fee and get unlimited appointments/video chats/texts as needed. Excited to have this option for the kids as they continue to grow.  

Tonight is our last night of Friday Night Lights at the gym for the open. 

A couple Fridays ago, Easton got to have a sleepover with Carson so we had a little date with Emerson. ♥ 

Then we had a Halloween Party at Brittany and Josh's house that weekend. We went as the crew from Jersey Shore. It was a fun night!

We also made a trip over to OWA again for their trick or treat event. The kids got to ride the usual rides they love out there and then end with candy! They were fix it Fekix and Bo Peep this year. So cute!

Once Monday rolled around, it was time for our Personal Day off together! I love when we have the chance to do a day off together. We enjoyed relaxing and just spending some time at the beach together. 

 The rest of the week was filled with class parties, carnivals, and actual Halloween and trick-or treating. A front came through on Halloween and it was freezing and windy that night, so we brought Emerson back after a bit to warm up...Pop and Easton kept rolling through the next neighborhood. 

Of course the year to year comparisons! My babies are growing too fast! 

 We are almost done with soccer season now...we have a few make up games next week. Easton has had a great season. He really loves soccer and has amazed me this year with what he has been able to do on the field, even as one of the young ones. 

And confession...once Halloween was over, my Christmas stuff went up this year! I have never put it up this early, but it makes me happy and excited about the holidays. Since I work from home 3 days a week, why not have this to look at?! :)

Mrs. Millsap came to watch Easton's soccer game :) So thankful for the awesome teachers we have had so far for the kids ♥ 

Uncle Zach came over this week too! We have not seen him in 6 years. It was nice for him and Drake to catch up and he got to see the kids-and meet Emerson for the first time. 

I think that sums up the last few weeks. Lots of fun and so thankful for our lives right now. Looking forward to lots of fun and memories for the rest of 2019! xoxo
