7 months

Emerson, 

You turned 7 months old last week! You continue to be the sweetest, happiest and most content little baby ♥ If you are fussy, you are tired or hungry. You have had your moments of being upset this past month because you are hurting :( You now have your 2 bottom teeth that came through and they made it known. Overall it was a big month for you with your teeth and you are officially crawling now! 

You weigh almost 19 pounds, wear 18 month clothes and size 3 diapers. I have enjoyed having fall break off with you and your brother! You both adore each other and it is pretty awesome to watch. I think he is ready for you to be running around and jumping on the trampoline with him already...he is going to make you one tough little girl. 

I can't believe it has already been 7 months with you in our lives. I am so thankful for you and so lucky to be your mom. Some of the random things I want to jot down about you at this age that I would probably forget...the way you throw your head back as your sign to us that you are getting tired, the way you use your tongue to hold in your paci when you start to laugh, the way you squeal when you and Easton play on the bed together and you are so excited and the way you throw your head up so fast when having a bottle if someone starts talking :) 

It has been a great month! I am so excited to go into the Christmas season and cherish every moment of your first Christmas. We love you so much sweet girl! xoxo 

From Costumes to Christmas

First post of November, mid-way through the month. So let's see...we have been very blessed this fall with great weather almost every weekend, allowing us to be out and about a lot! To end October, we had Jonah's birthday party. It was a lot of fun. Easton had a blast running around playing, and Joe dug a huge hole and put their trampoline in it, so the kids thought that was pretty awesome! Emerson loves being outside, so she was good to go! 

Then we had Halloween! The handmade attempt at super sonic ended up turning out good {enough} Easton was sprinting from house to house and having a blast! 

The next week seemed like a long one. I think between Halloween, festivals, soccer, birthday parties...Easton's little body needed a break. He ended up having double pink eye and got stung by something at school, which ended up getting an infection :( 

Doctor visits and milk shakes pretty much go hand in hand right?! :) 

 Once Easton was all healthy again, we enjoyed going to a football game, some bounce houses, Easton had his first field trip of the year, he is continuing to love soccer, we actually only have one week left, I am bummed. But, then we will start our first season of basketball in January! 

And we just posted Halloween pics, and now onto Christmas! haha I know it's early, but Santa came last week and I am all about going when there is NO line! Easton chewed his nails and whispered a few times until Santa finally could hear him. He wants pj mask and blaze toys this year...oh and Emerson would like a baby doll he said. 

 I know the time between now and Christmas is going to go so fast! We are having my family over for Thanksgiving, I am excited. The house is currently in project mode, so our new floors are almost done being put in which means Emerson's crib is in the living room, her changing table in the hallway, in order to use the guest bathroom you have to step over paint cans and a tool box. Ugh! But I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it will be so worth it! Loving our new farm house decor we have going in. 

ONE more week of work and then we are off for Fall Break!! Drake convinced me to take off Wednesday too...we are taking a personal day together. Dropping the kids off and just enjoying each other for the day ♥ It's weird to take a day just because, I am used to saving up my leave for maternity leave! So off Wednesday, Field Day for the kids Friday and done! Have a great week! 

Happy Saturday! I wanted to throw on pictures from the past week before I get too far behind. Everything is going great! The weather has been awesome and we have stayed busy. Life feels as hectic as can be just trying to keep up with everything. Two kids, work, soccer, having fun, photo shoots, trying to keep up with laundry and the house. It's just a busy season in our lives and I guess it will just be a constant battle to prioritize and realize you can't do it all. 

Last weekend we went to the fair. We let Easton get a wristband for the first time and I'm so glad we did! He would still be there if he had the choice. He loved everything!

First time solo on the big slide :) Just a little scared...then got to the bottom and wanted to head right back up, over and over! 

Emerson was a trooper like usual. Just hung out, drank a bottle and took a nap before up and looking at everything again.

We've continued to practice twice a week for soccer and this has definitely been my favorite season of Easton's sporting events so far. We are just on a good team, good kids and Eatson loves going.

6 months

Emerson, 

You turned 6 months old on Wednesday! You had to get 3 shots, so that always stinks, but you are doing so awesome! You are wearing size 3 diapers and 12 month clothes. You weigh 17.2 pounds and are 25.75 inches tall. Your sleep has been a little hit or miss this month. Waking up once in the night here and there, but it will be for a handful of nights and then a stretch of all night again. I think you are either teething some more or having a growth spurt. 

You love to be in everyone's business :) If you are eating or laying in any way and someone does or says something you pop up your head as fast as you can to see what is going on. You sit up great on your own and get up on all fours just rocking back and forth wanting to crawl. You love your solids and have wanted more of everything we have introduced minus the peas. 

It will be fun to enjoy all of your "firsts" coming up these next several months. First Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas! You have been such a blessing and such a happy baby. Anyone that talks to you, gets a big smile. You are trying to talk more these days too. I have a feeling life is going to get really busy with you these next few months ♥ We love you so much!! ♥ 

fall fun

Hey! We've had a couple really good weeks/weekends lately. The weeks are going good, just on the go all the time makes it go so fast. Last weekend, my uncle from Colorado was in town, so we all met up at the beach for dinner. The weather has been awesome and we have taken full advantage of it when we can. 

Last weekend we also went to the peanut festival. Easton is having a blast so far this year with all of the activities he is able to do...and Emerson is all about watching him. :) 

Be still my heart. ♥ This picture just reminds me how thankful I am that we have our 2 babies. I remember being so nervous at the thought of having 2 kids, but oh my goodness what a blessing it is to have them both. I wouldn't trade my life for anything. The days are long but the years are short ♥ 

I could just eat her up!

This past weekend, we did our yearly trip to sweet season farms. Another great day making memories. 

Once we got back, Easton hung outside with some of his friends. Barefoot eating snow cones :) 

I can't believe it is already mid-October?! I will continue to do my best soaking in the days with my family, because time sure isn't slowing down! Have a good week!

fall

It FINALLY resembles fall here today and I am so excited to go into the weekend with some great weather! We have been busy with our usual routine lately, adding soccer to our list 3 days a week. Easton loves it! The first game was last weekend and he started out biting his nails and sort of running and then once he was comfortable-watch out! :) He scored 6 goals and did so awesome! 

 Last Friday...our picture as we leave on Friday morning has quickly turned into a little tradition-celebrating another week. 

 Here are some pictures from the game. It was SO hot and I couldn't believe how much longer the game was compared to the place we had to play last year. (Further from home but allowed kids under 5 to play so the games were like 20 minutes with 3 breaks haha) Now we play 40 minute games and Easton did not get pulled so he was dripping with sweat by the time he was done but I guess he is loving it because yesterday we got to practice and he was so upset that we weren't there for a game. 

After the game we went to Millie's birthday party that was a pool party. Easton had fun cooling off while I sat sweating holding a sweet sleeping baby :) Then, we got home and I headed out and spent a long afternoon car shopping-always so brutal, but the end result was a success. 

Drake was recently given a company vehicle which was a huge blessing! So, we decided to sell and trade in our vehicles so that we could share one vehicle when we aren't at work that has more room. We got an SUV with a 3rd row which will be so nice to have the option of having other people ride with us even with 2 car seats in the back. 

Sunday my mom offered to watch the kids so that we could go get a kid free dinner! Whoop whoop! It was before Emerson was born since we went to eat just the two of us. It was nice.

This week we had school pictures :) Easton looks so grown! We had his annual meeting this week and they said if they were to test him right now, he would test out of the program! God is so good! He was evaluated at 59 months and he was several months above that in every. single. area. Gross motor, fine motor, language, literacy, math, daily living and social/emotional. 

We went to visit Daddy at work this week and check out his new office. :)

And finally here we are this morning-in long sleeves! :) I have 2 pretty amazing kids ♥
