Time to update! :)
Our January was a great one...we kicked off the new year with some Skyzone.
Easton continues to fall more in love with football. Throwing and pulling flags every day! We finished the season 3-3 in flag football and have playoffs this weekend. He had some of his best friends on his team, so he has enjoyed that!
While Easton is finishing up football, Emerson is doing a couple months of gymnastics which she loves, and has the added bonus of her BFF in her class too. :) We will wrap up both activities over the next couple weeks as they both transition into spring ball! Easton will be moving up to kid pitch this year and Emmy will start t-ball.
Dentist visits...
We almost got a dog! I have been following a page for a while and this little guy popped up, so I filled out an application just to see what would happen. The foster mom brought him over and he was really sweet and the kids have been talking about a dog, so we decided to see how it felt to have him over for a bit. We went back and forth, but ultimately decided to wait.
Football Saturdays...
I think we might have another love for photography in the family...
My sweet boy has his first real crush. :) He decided to get his friend a Valentine...but it is sitting there and he has decided he is too nervous to give it to her at school, so I mentioned that we could see about dropping it by her house. He thought that was a great idea-"Yea! We can put it on her porch, ring the doorbell and run!" haha
We had surprise baby shower for Brittany downtown. It was a beautiful day and I am so excited for Brittany having a baby boy soon.
We randomly decided to attempt disc golf one weekend. Bought a starter pack at dicks and headed out to play-clueless but we had so much fun! The kids really liked it and we have actually been a couple more times since then.
Time with my boy. :) On Tuesdays, when Emerson does gymnastics, it is now a drop off set up with covid restrictions, so we go do something together before we head back to pick her up. This day we ran together.
Mixed in with some peloton sessions with my girl! :) Drake put her bike next to ours with his shoes in the training wheels, so she will just ride beside us sometimes when we do a class. I have really enjoyed having it in our room and am using it more than I thought I would.
Another fun adventure we had was going ice skating. I love doing activities the kids have never experienced before. I wasn't sure at first if Emerson was going to stay on the ice, she was scared and said she didn't want to skate. But, once she realized I had her and wasn't going to let her fall, she was loving it, and we actually had a pretty good pace going by the end. Easton got the hang of it and only had a few falls, so they both kept saying how much fun they had when we left-success!
An afternoon at the ballpark with the Stilwell family. We played kids vs. adults, boys vs. girls...just trying to have some fun but get everyone back out there before season starts back up.
Enjoying our routine during the week too! I have been working from home more than usual which has been nice and we have our morning routine down!
Literacy week, homecoming/dress up week, and report cards!

So proud of this boy. I got a copy of one of his evaluations they did, and his math was at a 5.3 grade level. So thankful for his success in school.

We have done a date about once a month lately, and it has been so great to have that time together!
