Catching Up

This weekend is off to a great start. Yesterday for work we went on a field trip :) I took the kids to Barnes and Noble and then to lunch at Pensacola Ale House. Tough Day! :) Once I got home I took Cosmo on a long walk...the weather is absolutely perfect right now. About 70 degrees and clear blue skies. Love it! After that Drake got home from work and we got ready and headed into town to meet up with our friend's Rob and Crissy to catch up and meet their new baby Reece, who is 6 weeks old. When I used to work with Crissy we would always go run together after work, we both got married the same year and kept each other motivated to feel good for the big day, and once we were married we lived in the same apartment complex so we would always take the dogs on walks together and hang out. Since then I have moved jobs and we have both moved into houses clear across town from one another so we have not hung out in a while. It was nice to catch up and crazy how fast time goes by. Reece was so sweet and just hung out the whole time we ate.





Today Drake finally has a Saturday off! I did a photo shoot earlier and then later we are going to Jenn and Ronnie's to hang out and do dinner and a movie. I am loving this weekend and I cannot believe that January is already coming to an end!

HOOs not productive?

Me!!! I am at work looking at baby stuff now that kids have been put on their buses and are headed home. This is my planning period...so I am planning the future nursery :) I have recently come across so many cute owl themed items on etsy. I am leaning towards having espresso brown furniture and then the bedding set to also be nuetral, and then throw in owl accents, I'm thinking lime green or orange?! I know I am going crazy since we still have so much time, but it is fun to browse. I just love these vintage looking owls...

And who doesn't love a cheesy play on words?!

Plus baby Wade could ride home from the hospital in style :)

Ok...this is just unneccesary but still cute :) Just to show you how many things you can find with owls out there.

So, that is where my head is today...it could very well change as soon as I hit publish, but I enjoy browsing :) Happy Hump Day!!

7 weeks

Today was awesome! We had our first appointment...we saw our little baby and it was so surreal. It is a little dot, but I love it! ♥ We saw it, I was happy...then we saw the flickering of the heartbeat, I felt relief :) It definitely sunk in a little more for me. I finally get to fill our mom+dad=me frame that I bought so long ago! This scan is a little blurry but you can kind of see the black dot that is the eye and the little body is facing to the right...

Baby Wade is now the size of a blueberry!
Baby Wade's brain -- both hemispheres! -- is growing fast, generating about one hundred new cells every minute. Arms and legs are emerging as joints start to form, and a permanent set of kidneys (baby's third!) is now in place.

Slow Down!

Why do weekends always fly by?! Yesterday during the day Drake was working and I did a photo shoot. I took pictures for a family out at their farm :)

Once Drake got home we headed into town and met my parents at Mellow Mushroom for dinner and trivia. Then we headed to the mall where I bought a couple shirts and then finished the night at my parents playing board games and watching TV. We had a good evening! :)

Time is on my side

Ahhhh so as I mentioned soccer is officially over :) That means I can have a life after work in the evenings now! I am so excited to have my time back. So last night we went to our neighbor's house to eat dinner. Emily and Chris made dinner...ribs, mac and cheese, beans, and key lime pie :) They wanted to have us over to celebrate. They are the best neighbors ever! This is a cell phone picture of little Mathew :) We were watching American Idol.

Today after work I headed downtown and did a photo shoot ♥



After that I forced myself to the gym for kick boxing class. So glad I went...but man I was tired! Happy Friday Eve!!!

Week 6

Here is my week 6 picture and update. So far, so good! I don't even feel pregnant. It's still like I'm dreaming. My boobs have been sensitive, but that's about it. :) Of course I let some worry settle in about the appointment next week. I just hope everything is ok, and the baby is healthy and has a strong beating heart. One more week! Sorry my pictures are crap...I wanted to go take my weekly ones outside and make them look better, but this is what you get when Drake has already left for work, I am running late and have a tripod and self timer to work with :) I hope you all are having a great week! Soccer season is officially over! So we are headed to eat dinner with our neighbors in a little bit :)


Baby Wade is now the size of a sweet pea!
Growing like crazy, baby Wade is starting to sprout eyes, ears, nose, cheeks, and chin. Those little hands and feet -- still webbed like paddles -- might wiggle by week's end, the heart is beating (almost twice as fast as mine!), and blood is starting to circulate.

So proud!

I am so happy and proud of Drake. He has been working as an assistant manager at his job since last April. He has worked hard and done a great job...so today, they gave him the local store to manage! :) It is what he has been hoping for, and the extra money is such a blessing just in time to buy baby stuff! ♥

Our weekend

We had a great weekend! Sorry no pics, but we did a handful of fun things! :)

-had a random Target trip
-sat on the porch with a fire in the fire pit
-took Cosmo to the dog park
-took care of grocery shopping
-went to the gym
-washed my car
-rented a movie

Yep...it was a successful weekend :) And now I still have another day off! yay

Week 5?!

I guess for now I am just going to go off of my ticker that says I am 5 weeks today. That was after I entered the first day of my last cycle...so until I am told otherwise, I will go with that timing, I might be told differently at my appointment in a couple weeks. But who knows. Each week I plan to do the baby size, what it is up to, and a picture to see the belly progression :)

My embryo, which doesn't look like much more than a tadpole right now, is actually starting to form major organs (heart, kidney, liver, stomach) and systems (nervous, circulatory, digestive). Baby Wade's presence in my uterus triggers production of HCG (the hormone detected by pregnancy tests), which triggers the production of other hormones like estrogen and progesterone.

breaking the news

So...bare with me as I share all the baby stuff everyday. :) Before I go any further I wanted to just say thanks to the girls who read my blog. You all have been there to lift me up after failed cycles, to make me feel normal when I felt mad about things. I consider you friends even though we have never even met and live miles and miles away. I know how bad it hurt when I would find out that someone else was pregnant even though I was happy for them, and I don't want to add to anyones pain of infertility. I hope you all will stick with me as we take on this new journey.

Finding out yesterday was perfect because it fell on the one day of the week that Drake and I have off together. So once I found out we spent the whole rest of the day going around and sharing the news. Today's video is telling my parents. (yes I filmed everyone's reaction...I am a crazy lady when it comes to capturing life through pictures and film, that's just how I roll. ha like you don't realize that already:)) My brother was in on it and we played the game buzz word...and my brother read the card that had "baby" as the buzz word. My mom thought he was giving another clue or something...it took a minute to figure it out :) Oh and my dad may look like mr. cool guy about it, but he is freaking out inside, just fyi :)


Today at soccer practice I had all of the girls turn around and close their eyes. I took their pinnies and laid them out so they would say "I'm Pregnant" When they turned around once they saw what it said they all screamed and gave me a huge group hug :)

OH! and I have my first appointment Tuesday the 25th at 9am for an ultrasound!!! I can't wait.
