Week 30 & 3D Ultrasound!

Week 30! I took my weekly picture while we were away since I knew I would already be late posting my update. Week 30 sounds so much further than 29 does. ha I am continuing to prick and that is going well, my numbers are doing good. I have felt good overall but things are starting to lean towards more difficult the bigger my belly gets. Like I never thought about what a chore shaving your bikini line is when you can't see it! haha

Today we went and had a 3D ultrasound done. I think he has Drake's nose :) Looking at the ultrasound next to Drake's baby picture you can really tell. It was fun getting the 3D done...Drake left work and my parents and Kylie came to see too. Of course his face is looking towards my back, so she was trying her best to get him.

Week 29

I am 29 weeks pregnant! I had my 2 week check up this morning and everything is good. These 2 week check-ins are a breeze. Pee in a cup, weigh in, blood pressure, baby's heartbeat, measure my belly, ask any questions-done! I gave her my chart of all of my glucose numbers and they were good :) BUT of course she wants to continue to monitor just to make sure nothing changes. Grrr She did at least say to just take my fasting number in the morning and my after dinner number. That is a lot better than the 4 times a day of pricking I was doing, so I guess I'll take it.

I crack up because every time at my appointment when the nurse goes to check Easton's heartbeat he tries to move away from her wand the best he can and my stomach just starts moving all over the place. Overall, it has been another good week, and we are one week closer to him being here! ♥

Baby’s energy is surging, thanks to the formation of white fat deposits beneath the skin. (Have those kicks and jabs to the ribs tipped you off yet?) Baby is also settling into sleep and waking cycles, though -- as you’ve also probably noticed -- they don’t necessarily coincide with your own. Also this month, all five senses are finally functional, and the brain and nervous system are going through major developments

Oh and PS...crib and bedding are ready to go! Cosmo approves :) She will go under the crib and sleep. I love it.

Easton's First concert :)

Last night was a fun night with my family. For my dad's birthday Drake and I got him his ticket to see the Psychedelic Furs. It was one of his favorite bands from the 80s, and most of their songs I know from our old home videos. :) My dad filmed us all the time when we were little (now you know where my obsession for capturing life comes from) and then he would put music over the video...many times this was a song by the Psychedelic Furs. So for me, hearing their music takes me back to my childhood.

We all met at Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner before heading downtown...



before the concert, we stopped by "Play" and had fun with some ski ball and basketball...

and then it was off to the concert. It was a standing room only, but my brother and Rose got me a chair when we first got there from one of the security guys since I am pregnant :) It was the first time I have used my pregnancy to get something...man I need to milk this these last couple of months. Oh the possibilities! haha It was nice to see my dad have a night off of work and bobbing his head to the music. Easton was bobbing his head in my belly too. :) It was a good night.

Another week down

Well, another week is gone for summer break. It is going great! I know it will fly by, but so far it has been awesome to be off. Yesterday we got our crib and changing table and put it together. I love it :) It is the only thing done in the nursery so far, but hey...it is a start.

Today we went to the mall and ended up unexpectedly getting registered at Dillards for all of Easton's clothes. Drake was so excited. We registered for a bunch of under armour, polo, and hurley newborn and baby clothes. They even had newborn sperrys :) After that we grabbed lunch, hung out in the pool, and stopped by my parents. My mom found my newborn picture from the hospital :) Drake's mom brought his when she came to visit one time, so now I have the two to look at and wonder what Easton will look like.

Girl's Night

Last night we had a girl's night planned to go eat dinner together at Fish House. It was so good! I had a crab claw appetizer and cheese grits :) It was so nice to just sit and chit chat with my girls for hours while the sun went down, sitting at our table by the water. So pretty.

Don't feel bad about the husbands, they went and had boy time. This is the picture they sent us while we were at dinner. :)

Vivian and Vet Visits

This morning I watched Vivian while her momma ran some errands. We played with her sidewalk chalk, played soccer, read books, and ate lunch.




We had fun :) Now I am waiting for 3:00 to roll around so I can go pick my baby up from the vet. Ever since we adopted her she has had bad teeth, so we finally bit the bullet and had them do a deep cleaning and teeth treatment. She had to have 3 teeth pulled :( Poor kid. I know she will be loopy the rest of the day and it is raining now, so I think I will cuddle up with her and love on her this afternoon. I know some of you are laughing at how ridiculous I am about her...but I was the one who took her in this morning because guess who did not want to have to drop her off because they felt so bad?! haha

quick trip

Last night when Drake got off we headed over to Destin for the evening to meet up with Bryant and Abbi for dinner. Abbi was my roommate at Georgia Golf Camp back in 8th grade! :) We remained friends through the years and would always see each other at golf tournaments in college when she was playing for Georgia and I was playing for LSU. They now live in Georgia, but were down this way on vacation so we met up at the Boathouse Oyster Bar for dinner and walked around the pier area before heading back home. It was so nice to meet her husband and reminisce about our golfing days. :)

Week 28

Hello third trimester! I am starting to have more and more moments of worry thinking about if I am prepared for Easton getting here now that we are in the home stretch. I feel like I get so excited and read all about what he is doing in my belly and preparing for labor...but once he's here...oh crap, then what do I do?! :) I am so thankful that he is due right after summer break, I have no work for 2 months and can get everything in order so that I feel ready and confident for his arrival.

This week Easton had hiccups for the first time which was really interesting to feel. :) I started pricking my fingers Saturday 4 times a day. :( The first one was the worst! It took me about 20 minutes to work myself up to doing the stupid thing. If someone could have pressed the button for me it would have been ok. I have pricked about 16 times now and I think 4 of those were in the grey area. So, I am interested to see how all of my numbers are interpreted at my appointment next Wednesday. Let's see...that means 11 days of pricking at 4 times a day=44 pricks. Blah

I am starting to get really excited about showers this summer. My mom is throwing one and Jenn is throwing one for me. I can't wait. I ordered Easton's bedding set today. I started to worry about it not being available anymore by the time the showers get here, so I went ahead and got it. :) Hmmm what else? I am still feeling good...still congested and have heartburn. My hands will get tingly and puffy when I workout and get too hot. But still smooth sailing overall. I cannot believe I am now in my last trimester! ♥
