Finally :)

Well I am officially on my Christmas break! I am so excited. I am used to having weeks off from when I was teaching, but thats ok. I will just have to squeeze as much fun into the next few days as possible;) Tonight we are planning on making some Christmas cupcakes and hopefully watching something Christmas related on TV. Every year I have to watch Charlie Brown.

We don't have much planned for Christmas, we were in Virginia for Thanksgiving so we will be here with my family. I am just looking forward to relaxing and enjoying time off with everyone.

So...with some of my Christmas money I just ordered the Insanity workout dvd set. I am so excited to start that in the new year! I love getting a workout with a dvd. I don't mind running but with it being dark when I get home now, it's not happening like it should. I have a handful of dvd's including turbo jam, hip hop abs, and carmen electra's set. So, I know I will use it.

Annddd, finally I leave you with one beautiful Christmas baby :) Jenn and Ronnie had Laura take more pictures for them, and she does amazing work!

friends and the flu

Well this weekend has been great so far! (except for the part where I cannot breath through my nose!) The Gully family is here! They got in late Friday night and then yesterday Matt and Drake went and did a little golfing while me, Kathryn, and Bayleigh went and grabbed lunch and ran a few errands. Errands meaning picking me up theraflu. ha We were planning on going to the mall, but with me feeling not so great and it being the Saturday before Christmas, we skipped on that plan. So we just came home so that I could get rest so that we could still enjoy a girls night.

So...later last night we got ready and headed downtown with Liz and Kelly. We had a really good time. It has been a while since Kathryn and I had a girls night. Don't worry about the boys...they had plenty of football keeping them busy :)

so close yet so far away

9 more days until Christmas! I am so excited to have some time off of work and hang out with my family! This week is dragging by for me. We have just been doing this and that...last night after work we met my parents and brother at buffalo wild wings for some food and trivia. We had a good time. This is after my dad won the game out of everyone playing in the restaurant...

Sorry no pictures, I was too busy playing with the camera. Drake is at work tonight, so I am trying to be productive this evening. He went and got groceries today and I need to clean the house before The Gully Family gets here Friday night! :) I am so excited! We will be playing golf Saturday and then Kathryn and I are planning on going out that night. It has been a long time since just her and I had a girls night! Whoop and another big whoop on that!! Anyways, sorry I am just rambling on tonight...just figured I would post something really quick. xoxo

bad start to a week

Well...you can probably guess what I am going to say :( Again a no this month. I have gone through several emotions through this difficult journey so far, but today I have really felt angry at the whole thing. Just tired of the feeling I get each month and then trying to get back up, dust myself off, and start all over again. But I know I will keep moving forward...I have no other choice. This is something we want so bad. So today was a gloomy day outside, I got home from work and cried, and Drake just held me. I love him so much, he is so strong for me even though I can tell how much he hates hearing the bad news each month. I put on my pjs, Drake went and got us junk food and we have been bumming around today. I know there is a reason we are going through this, and I can't wait until one day I can look back and understand why, but in the moment it is so hard.

So on to the next hopeful month...Drake called in to pick up another month of clomid, I printed out a new chart to track everything you can think of, and am just getting ready for our 9th month of trying. I am so let down, but I will focus on all I have to be thankful for, especially with the wonderful holiday season being here. Matt, Kathryn and Bayleigh will be here this weekend and then Kylie will be here for Christmas! Speaking of...if you have read in the past you know I get a new ornament for each year that Drake and I have been married, and this year I got a silver one that says believe. I think it fits well with the fact that this year we have done a lot of believing that we will be parents one day...I am praying that our 2010 ornament will read "baby's first Christmas"

This weekend has been full of yucky weather, but we still had a good time indoors. Last night we went to the Lynch's house for dinner with 3 other couples and their kids. It was a full house and so much fun :) We ate dinner, played spades, watched TV, and watched the kids open some gifts from one another.

A dream come true?

Well the last few nights I have had several very vivid dreams. Now I am not letting this alone get me excited about anything but I did read about how it can be a pregnancy symptom to have very vivid, crazy dreams due to the extra hormones going on in your body. Who knows...still nothing to report, but we are closer to finding out!

My friend Danielle found out she is having another girl! Kaylee wanted a baby sister so bad :)

Finally, I officially made my first purchase of something that cannot be used until we have our baby Wade...this picture frame with mom+dad=me I couldn't resist! I am believing that those boxes will be filled soon.

fun stuff

Well the weeks are still dragging by for me...yesterday and today I had some cramping going on. I usually cramp before I start, but like the day before. So am I about to start really early or is it cramps involved with being pregnant?! It stinks that it means one of two totally different things. I will just try and be patient and see what the plan is.

Anyways on to the fun stuff...

-Trey and Danielle find out Friday if they are having a boy or a girl!

-I am always stressing with my job trying to get as many volunteers in to be mentors, and I had 7 people call today wanting to volunteer with us! :)

-Ronnie is finished with his Masters so we are going over to the Lynch's house Saturday to celebrate

-I got a Christmas present early today...a new video camera! The Sony Handycam that I can just upload videos to my computer with and then burn footage onto DVDs. Drake went ahead and gave it to me so that we can film while Kylie and Bayleigh are here over the holidays.

-Only 16 days until Christmas!

-The FedEx man brought us a huge box of goodies that were sent from my mother-in-law. Cosmo couldn't wait to open her gifts so we let her haha She got a soft Christmas throw, new toy, and treats.

random weekend fun

Well this weekend has flown by...Friday night we had hot chocolate and watched 2 movies. Drake picked Terminator and I picked Four Christmases. haha
Saturday we got up and I made a sausage, egg, and cheese casserole yum! I have had it several times at showers and other events and finally remembered to make it for us. Then all of a sudden I hear Cosmo barking and look out the back door and there are several cops on horses trotting by! It was the start of the local Christmas Parade right behind our house! My neighbor Emily was out there and yelled at us to come out, so we threw on our jackets and went out. Cosmo even put on her sweater to head out :)

After the parade we headed to my parents for some football! It was amazing to watch Alabama beat Florida. Whoop Whoop!!! It is hilarious to watch my parents go crazy at the TV.

Today we just got ready and went here and there...no real plan in mind. We stopped by rooms to go just to look around and then went to Barnes and Noble and hung out. Drake was reading his book and I was reading a pregnancy book :) I will be more than prepared by the time I get pregnant with all of my hopeful reading. After the book store we headed to Figaro's Pizza, I had a coupon from work for a FREE pizza. Gotta love free food! Then we finished the evening eating our pizza at the Pier and just taking random pictures.

We had a great weekend! Only about a week and a half until I will know this month! I am so anxious to know if the fertility meds have made a difference. Have a great week!!

Oh Christmas Tree Oh Christmas Tree

Hooray for Friday! Today we had our company Christmas Party and then got to go home! At the party they had drawings for gifts and I won a free haircut at this nice salon downtown that was a $45 value. :) So excited.
This week I am participating in Kelly's show us your life...with my Christmas Tree. I have red and silver on it to match our decor. I also enjoy getting a new ornament each year since Drake and I have been married. We have a bride and groom from 2007 and then a little "new home" ornament from last year. Still have not gotten one for this year. I am thinking of doing an airplane in memory of my grandpa who passed this year.

This is our Charlie Brown Christmas Tree :) I have watched that every year since I was a little girl, so I had to have the tree. It was 10 bucks at Walgreens

When it rains, it pours

Whheewww what a day. Well to start out, our yard and road has had some pretty bad flooding before. I guess with it being a new subdivision they still are working things out. Well, it rained hard this morning and for a long time...so I woke up to Drake whispering that I might want to get up and see outside. Well the only thing I could see was the part of our front porch that is a step, and the back porch. Everything else...a lake. I started freaking out and getting things prepared in case it started coming in the house. Well, Thank God that around that time it started letting up. We have to get something done about it. So...that was our start to the morning. Crazy! After that I actually had a pretty good, busy day. Now I am home and waiting for my love to get home :) Only one more work day for me...Friday we just have our Christmas Party and get the rest of the day off. Yay!
