hammocks and hot dogs

So excited it's the weekend! When I got home today, it was really nice outside so I layed in the hammock with Drake and Cosmo :) Then we were off to the Ice Flyers hockey game. Not only did we get to enjoy a hockey game...but it was wiener dog race night so we were surrounded by little wiener dogs walking in the arena and it was $1.00 hot dogs in honor of the races ha!

We had a good time :) well, off to bed...goodnight♥

my mouth is watering...

...as I am thinking about the food I am about to eat. I am trying two recipes that I recently found. The first is a chicken spaghetti

Ingredients:
2 cups Cooked Chicken
3 cups Dry Spaghetti, Broken Into Two Inch Pieces
2 cans Cream Of Mushroom Soup
2 cups Grated Sharp Cheddar Cheese
¼ cups Finely Diced Green Pepper
¼ cups Finely Diced Onion
1 jar (4 Ounce) Diced Pimentos, Drained
2 cups Reserved Chicken Broth From Pot
1 teaspoon Lawry's Seasoned Salt
⅛ teaspoons (to 1/4 Teaspoon) Cayenne Pepper
Salt And Pepper, to taste
1 cup Additional Grated Sharp Cheddar Cheese

Preparation Instructions:
-Cook 1 cut up fryer and pick out the meat to make two cups.
-Cook spaghetti in same chicken broth until al dente. Do not overcook.
-When spaghetti is cooked, combine with remaining ingredients except additional 1 cup sharp cheddar.
-Place mixture in casserole pan and top with remaining sharp cheddar. Cover and freeze up to six months, cover and refrigerate up to two days, or bake immediately: 350 degrees for 45 minutes until bubbly. (If the cheese on top starts to get too cooked, cover with foil).

And for dessert-apple dumplings! yum

Ingredients:
2 whole Granny Smith Apples
2 cans (8 Oz. Cans) Crescent Rolls
2 sticks Butter
1-½ cup Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla
Cinnamon, To Taste
1 can (12 Oz.) Mountain Dew Soda

Preparation Instructions:
-Peel and core apples. Cut each apple into 8 slices each. Roll each apple slice in a crescent roll.
-Place in a 9 x 13 buttered pan.
-Melt butter, then add sugar and barely stir.
-Add vanilla, stir, and pour entire mixture over apples.
-Pour Mountain Dew around the edges of the pan.
-Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.

Happy Wednesday! xoxo

Happy Ovulation Day!

ha! That is what my co-worker Mandy tells me, as if we are celebrating a national holiday or something. But...I am officially ovulating again, and starting on day 15 just like last month, so that is exciting that it is consistent. I have been using the ovulation testers again this month. In addition, I am taking cough medicine.

Why am I taking cough medicine? My doctor recommended it...but here is why she did:

"One ingredient in certain cough medicines, guaifenesin, could help you get pregnant by thinning your cervical mucus, which enables sperm to travel through your cervix. If you know from using an ovulation predictor kit (OPK) or taking your basal body temperature every morning that you're ovulating, but you don't seem to be producing much wet, slippery, cervical mucus, guaifenesin might help you to get pregnant. You need to know when you're approaching ovulation to take advantage of this recommendation, so keep checking your cervical mucus for any signs that it is getting clearer and slippery and monitor your luteinising hormone (LH) or oestrogen levels using an OPK so that you know when to take the cough medicine."

Vote :)

So...even though I act like we are set on my names for a baby Wade one day, we still have our few top choices. I added a poll to the right side of the page so if you would like, vote! :) Just curious to see what other people think. Have a good week...can you believe March is a week away?!

our weekend

This weekend has been really good...yesterday after work Drake and I took Cosmo to a local dog park. This was a huge test. Cosmo is really hit or miss with dogs, but once we found out that this park had a small dog side, we thought we would give it a try. She had a blast! I have some video from it but am currently waiting on a new usb cord to arrive since I already managed to lose my other one ugh! After that we came home and hung around until Drake's brother and wife from Maryland came by. We sat and talked until 1:30 in the morning! It was good.
Today we had our first sign of warmer weather so we headed straight to the beach! We still had our sweatshirts on but it was comfortable and we just sat and relaxed for the afternoon. Now Drake is on his overnight shift so I just got back from watching some Olympics at my parents.

Looking forward to one more morning of sleeping in until back to work on Monday...good night

Happy Thursday!

Sorry I have been MIA the past few days. I feel like I have nothing too exciting during the work week. I have been working, working out, to the grocery store, cleaned house...boring! :) So I am just stopping by to say hey. I did find a website with some cute bedding sets for cribs. I can't wait to turn this empty room into a nursery...one of these days.

Here is my favorite if we have our Aniston Harper :)

This is Drake's favorite if we have our Brody Kameron :)

I'm sure it will change between now and whenever we do get to decorate a nusery, but it is fun to look around. Right now I am close to when I should ovulate for the month...the start of the months always go by fast and then the closer I get to finding out for the month, time goes so slow! Well, I am off to eat dinner, workout, and get my tan on :) Have a great night xoxo

beautiful day

Today we decided to go play some golf. It is so pretty outside! I am itching to get some warm weather so that our weekends will be spent laying on the beach :) We had a good time out there...after we left we grabbed lunch at Lenny's sub shop and then went over to my parents for a bit. Now we are back home and going to do our workout and watch a movie before bed. Well, I am off...Happy Valentine's Day xoxo

it's here

So I just have to show you what I got Drake for V-day. He is in love with Jay Cutler who won Mr. Olympia. (We are planning on saving up and going to Vegas this September to take a trip and while we are there go see Mr. Olympia 2010) Anyways, as I was browsing around at something to get, I came to Jay Cutler's official website that had this poster on it and said, "make sure to fill out the comment box so I know what to write on the poster" I was so excited! So today Drake got his Jay Cutler poster signed by Jay Cutler! :) Drake is so excited...we are about to go buy a frame for it so he can hang it in our weightroom. haha

amazing day!

Today has been such a good day. I had an unexpected day off of work :) So when Drake got home this morning from his overnight shift, I was able to give him his cupcakes I made last night.

After telling him good morning I went back to bed and slept with him a little longer. Then we got up and it started snowing! Snow in Florida! :) I still don't consider myself seeing snow, it just hit the ground and melted, that doesn't count in my book. I want to make a snow angel and build a snowman! (One of these days)

Then we got ready for the early showing of Dear John and finally went to dinner at Hemmingways on the beach. It was so nice, we have only been there one other time and that was for our wedding rehearsal dinner. I had cheese and lobster stuffed ravioli and a raspberry sorbet for dessert. It was so good! Drake got his usual burger :) He cracks me up, no matter where we go he always gets a burger.

Now we are home and we still have two days to hang out for the weekend! yay Happy Valentines weekend to everyone ♥

stay positive

I know my wife loves to get on this blog, so I figured I would try and brighten her day. We just found out this morning that she is not pregnant this month. For those of you who read this blog know that we have been trying for a while now and it's very disheartening to wait another month. I just want Rachel to know that she is the greatest thing in the world to me and that we are going to be just fine. We may not be able to see it now, but God has a plan for us and He knows when it will happen. I just want my wife to know that I love her very much.

yum yum

Today was the usual workday and then we decided to meet up with Jenn, Ronnie, and Vivian for dinner at Santinos. Vivian is getting so big :) This is her in the middle of eating peas and yogurt haha She was clapping and is trying to start talking.

The week is going fine otherwise, just waiting to see what happens the next few days. Drake only works 2 days this week so I am loving that! I hope everyone is having a great week!

Patiently Waiting

This weekend has been nice and relaxing with Drake. We got a few things done around the house, continued our workouts (we are 2 and a half weeks into our Insanity and still enjoy it) and just enjoyed having the weekend together. I am so ready for the week to come. Obviously the anticipation of finding out if this month is THE month for pregnancy...I am actually really excited this time. I think just because I used the ovulation testers this month so I knew when I was ovulating, I feel like this is our biggest chance so far. Also, I am excited for Valentine's Day. We are planning on going to see Dear John and then going to dinner next weekend to celebrate. I can't believe this will be our 5th Valentine's Day together ♥ Well, just wanted to write really quick since it had been a few days, sorry nothing too exciting. Happy Superbowl Sunday :)

so proud of my officer ♥

I just have to brag on Drake for a second. This is an award he got at work recently:

It says "for performing your duties in a manner which are deserving of special recognition and achievement. In special recognition of distinguished service." He got this award and a pin to add to his uniform. I am so proud of Drake and his job! He is planning on taking the Sergeant's exam in a couple more years. (You can take it after you are an officer for 5 years) He does such a good job at the jail and is respected by everyone there. I am so proud of him! Anyways, just wanted to share :) Happy Tuesday! xoxo

morph

I am bored while Drake is at work so I decided to morph our faces together to see what the predicted future baby Wade will look like :) haha
