Well I have been neglecting the blog...clearly back to work and busy getting back into the routine. The school year is off to a great start! I LOVE my new kids! My days fly by and I continue to be so thankful for Drake's job and the fact that we are both together with Easton by 4 o'clock. In addition to school we have continued church on Sundays. Still a little rusty haha But Easton is at least able to get calmed down going in the stroller or going to look at the fish tank. He ended up in the room last week by the end of service. ha! Baby steps. They do a mother's day out program that I hope to do at least once a week next summer to help him continue to get better at being with people other than us or my parents. Spoiled kid.
In a nutshell we have been on the go during our evening time together. The weather has been nice the last few days so we are always out doing something. We've went to the pier to chase birds, played golf again, went to the soccer fields, did a few family runs and went to a baseball game.
It was PBS mascot night and Easton was loving Wyatt from Super Why, he wanted to follow him wherever he went...but as soon as Wyatt came over Easton would get shy. :)
 Oh that face. ♥
 snack break.
my boys and their sports. :)
 Happy Hump Day! xoxo

My golfing guys

Happy Saturday! :) Last week was pre-planning at work and ready or not...the kids will be there Monday. The week went slow overall...several meetings and getting lesson plans ready. Once the school year starts it will fly by I'm sure. Football and fall weather right around the corner. Crazy. Yesterday we kicked off our weekend with Easton's first golf outing. So fun and a lot of work. He liked riding in the cart...

and holding his ball and putting it in and out of the hole.
Overall he mainly wanted to run around so we had our hands full. :) One would hit while the other would be behind them either driving circles in the cart or running with Easton. haha
We made sure to go as late as possible so we were the only people left around and were not distracting people. :) We had a lot of fun.
Today was a lazy, rainy Saturday. We went to toys-r-us and started some birthday shopping which is exciting. We will be attempting church again in the morning. Last week was our 3rd trip and still terrible. He cried so hard he fell asleep by the end. Gah. We do think we have found a church that we really like though, so that is exciting. We have pretty much been inconsistent and bounced around trying different ones since we got married. Fingers crossed for some progression tomorrow with the separation anxiety :) xoxo

summertime sadness

Well, this will be my last post of summer 2013. It hit me like a ton of bricks tonight that I'm going back to work Monday. Maybe I'm being a big wimp, but I don't care. I have spent every minute with this kid for the past 2 months and it just makes me realize how much I have to miss while I am at work. He is such a fun age now.
We went out to the beach this evening and it was so nice.

I started getting sad on the ride home and then when we got home and did bath time I told Easton to come give me a hug and kiss goodnight. He did his normal lean in for a hug, but continued to climb on me and straddle me and laid his head on my shoulder. Easton will usually NOT cuddle, so it caught me off guard.
It was one of those moments as a parent that time literally stands still and the simple presence of your child is amazing. I wasn't moving. I sat there holding him as long as he would let me and of course I started to tear up. Love my sweet boy so much. xoxo
I am so thankful for the memories we made this summer ♥

Getting closer

I can't believe we are getting so close to having a 2 year old. I know it's still a month away but we went to get a couple pictures of Easton yesterday with a "2" theme since there are a couple things I want to make for his party. It blows me away how handsome he is ♥
We just took a couple because, well...he's almost 2, and he has too many other things to do besides sit and smile for me. haha All he needs is room to run. That is his favorite thing to do, just run and run and run. Hills are the best of course because you have to try and run down at fast speeds and stay upright. ha
So thankful for this kid!
Feeling bummed for the closing of summer, but as ready to go back as I can be. :) Summer does refresh me and it gets me motivated to go back and see what I can do better from the year before. I met with my Production kids this morning and am hopeful for a great year with them. I have the best boss ever and love the school I am at. It's hard to believe that I will be starting my 7th year as a teacher.

Well, I'm off to get some things done before E wakes up. Happy Monday xoxo
