celebrations

Hey! I wanted to pop on and upload some pictures from the last few weeks that included some fun celebrating in our lives.
Drake and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary! We will be going away for a little staycation weekend in a couple weeks. I can't wait!
Easton had an Easter party at school, which meant I just hopped on over one hallway to attend :)

Easton has been playing t-ball games every week. He loves hitting in the yard and playing with us, but the games are still boring to him for now. Just lots of waiting...in the field to maybe get a ball and waiting in the dugout for your turn to hit.
He might be bored, but he sure is cute!
He did have a really good game and ended up getting the game ball.
He was pumped! :)
Then we had Georgia's 4th birthday party. She had an Easter egg hunt and pony rides.

We enjoyed coloring Easter eggs and the Easter bunny stopped by our house.

My sweet walking girl! xoxo
I got the tattoo I've been wanting for a while. It is for Emerson...on the same arm/area as her birthmark, 4 birds to represent our family of 4 and Eagles because when I was being rolled into the operating room to have her, The Eagles Hotel California was playing on the radio in the room. I love it!

Babcia and Granddad came to visit. The babies had a blast!

We celebrated Emerson's first birthday! Everything was so cute! The play place we had it was fun, the kids had a blast. The morning of the party we had most people counted and confirmed they would be there, but between sickness, family coming in town, and a date mix up...we ended up having a smaller group than expected, so that was a bummer. It was a lot of fun so I just hate that a handful of kids could not be there to enjoy it.

But this girl had fun and we loved celebrating her, so that's all that matters.

It's been a fun month celebrating birthdays and our anniversary. Staying busy and looking enjoying the end of this school year...24 days of school to go!

one. round two.

Emerson,

I remember growing up and always being so excited to get to the next part of my life. I couldn't wait to drive, go on my first date, I couldn't wait to graduate high school and go to college, then I couldn't wait to marry your daddy and have a family together. I remember writing about this before, how I needed to stop focusing so much of what is ahead of me in life and focus on the now and just enjoy the present season I am in...well you have made me do that. All I want more than ever right now is to stop time and wait. I CAN wait for you and your brother to grow up, I can wait for you to be out of diapers, to start school and keep growing up. I can wait. Time seemed to move slow when I couldn't wait to do things, and now that I feel like I have a better understanding of what my outlook needs to be, it's moving faster and faster.

This year has been so amazing with you coming into our lives. You complete our family. Watching you and your brother together is the most amazing feeling I have ever felt. I am so thankful that God chose me to be your mom. I will make a ton of mistakes, but I promise to do my best in raising you the best way I know how. I pray that one day I get to watch you as you start to drive, go on your first date, go to college, get married and start your own family. I pray that I teach you how to push through when things are hard, to be kind to others but know how to stick up for yourself and know your worth. The world you will have to grow up in will be scary, but please try to focus on the good. Talk to God...and listen to him.
You make everyday so much brighter. You are so happy! (And have a pretty hilarious fake laugh) Pop says you have smiling eyes. You are very laid back like I have said before, because you have no choice but to go around to whatever Easton is doing and watch him, but you love it. You clap at his games and point to things around you. You will also let us know what you want! (Kona Ice after bro bro's game haha or if a toy is taken from you.) You will copy sounds we make-like mocking your brother in your first little fight the other day, and are trying to say more and more. You started walking this past week! You are in 24 months and some 2T clothes already and love anything and everything we have given you to eat.
I can't wait to celebrate you this weekend. I love you so much sweet girl! I hope you have the best birthday ♥
Love, mom

Emerson,

"It's your first birthday and you are going to be one years old. I love when I tickle your belly and see you laugh. I like to play with you and shake my butt with you."

-Easton

Emerson,
My little E-squared.  I've always been the type to be content with what I have...in my own world.  I would go through life never knowing what I was missing.  Then, you and your brother came along and changed my world.  It became a lot less about Drake Wade and a lot more about Easton and Emerson's dad.  Being your dad is the very best job I could ask for.  The world we live in today is one that is full of hate and sin, so if you do not learn anything else from your mother and I, know that Jesus is the answer.  If you ever feel down or alone turn to Him.  We will always be here to help guide you on this journey of life.  Always treat other people with respect and stand up for the weak.  Happy birthday to the most wonderful little girl a father could ask for.  I love you.

birthday and egg hunt

So, after getting everyone better by the end of spring break, it was time to get back to our routine. Boo!
Easton pointing out his portion of the pre-k bulletin board in the main hallway :)
Drake and I were able to have a date night! It had been WAY too long!
The spring weather has been good to us these past several weeks!

We continue to have t-ball games during the week. Here is Easton with some of his soccer buddies from the fall, reunited at the tball fields.
Last weekend was my birthday weekend. It was awesome! Saturday morning was the neighborhood garage sale, so Easton set up a soda shop and hung out for a little while to earn some money. It was so cute. He would pop up and wave when a car came around the corner...he made $17.00. For the cars that would just drive past, he would go to sit back down and say to himself, "not thirsty yet" Cutie.
Then that evening we had my family over to hang out, the kids played on the trampoline and water slide and we ate dinner and got to meet Taylor and Colin's new baby. It was a nice evening ♥
and my brother did a silly string sneak attack on me...it was supposed to be for the kids! :)
Sunday was my 33rd birthday. It was great! A beach day with the family, lunch on the water and ice cream that evening. ♥

{Easton was not sharing his ice cream fast enough}

Finally, this weekend we went to an Easter egg hunt yesterday, ate lunch in town and today have been hanging outside at the house enjoying the weather again.

So many fun things coming up! Not to mention only 38 days of school left!! Time is flying! Have a good week! xoxo
