Memorial Day weekend

You know what's awesome?! 3 day weekends, beautiful weather, celebrations, family and friends...but when you put them all together and cram them into one weekend you come away feeling so thankful and refreshed.   There were several times this weekend that I just took a look around and thanked God for my life. It couldn't be any better! Thursday Drake's mom and Jeff got in town and Drake had no idea they were coming. (All part of his surprise birthday weekend) He was so excited to have them in town. Friday after work we headed out to the beach and had dinner with them and hung out until Easton's bedtime.
(PS this is Easton's new thing. He is hitting a shy phase around other people and he will close his eyes like you can't see him if he does it. So funny)
Saturday we were back to the beach that morning. The weather was perfect all weekend! Sunny put a nice breeze.
Easton played at the beach for a while
 showing his muscles with Jeff
Then we went up to the pool :)
 Had some brunch...
And headed home for nap time. Of course Easton didn't make it 10 minutes before he was passed out.
After nap time we got ready for "dinner with Drake's mom and Jeff" I have been planning a surprise party for his 30th birthday for a couple months and can't believe no one spilled the beans.
It was a muscle theme :) I had a party planner so she took pictures throughout the night, so I will post those pictures when she emails them to me.
Every detail was perfect :) The menus, old pictures, I had 30 balloons with notes from friends and family that were not at the party...including old high school and college buddies, and we played some games related to the theme. Here we are all holding a weight straight in front of us and whoever held it the longest got a free drink. Slowly people start dropping and it ends up coming down to Drake and my dad. They went forever and were talking trash across the table until my dad finally dropped his. It was so funny...they were playing for much more than a free drink. haha
Kylie also came in town for the long weekend! My sweet girl ♥

Sunday...yep back to the beach and pool haha This time we went prepared for nap time and Easton just slept on a beach chair under an umbrella, so we ended up staying about 4 hours.

Then we headed home to shower before getting family pictures.
This weekend was the first time with all 3 of my parent's grandkids together, so I wanted to get some group pictures as well. It was nice, I can't wait to get the CD with all of them...another thing I will post more pictures of later :)
Finally today we went and hung out with "the gang" They had shrimp, hot dogs, chips, cookies...the kids played in the water and Easton was in the swing until he literally almost fell asleep. :)
I am SO ready for summer and it is ridiculous that I still have a couple weeks of work, but hey...at least I get a summer! :) After a weekend like this it makes it a little harder to roll out of bed tomorrow morning. 4 day work week...I got this! xoxo

Can't sit still

Hey guys! It's been a busy but fun few days. At the end of last week I got to see The Great Gatsby. LOVED it. It was a great movie...and a random weekday movie is always an enjoyable relaxing evening.
Friday we went to Gallery Night downtown. It's such a fun time. Walking around while the streets are blocked off, listening to music, eating, drinking, and going into stores. It was a fun date night with my love. ♥
Saturday I went and got my hair done and then we went to Kaylee's pool party for the afternoon. Finally, Sunday I had a shoot in the morning and then we went to my parent's house and played at the pool and went for a bike ride. I am in love with Easton's new bike seat. (I think he is too :)) He just rides along in front of me and looks around at everything. I have a feeling we will be cruising the streets a lot this summer.
A couple weeks of work left! Today was an awesome Monday...I had my TV Production class and then my special needs students were invited to a marine science station at the beach. So we went and learned a few things and then got to fish off the pier. I caught 2 fish. Sweet! Have a good week! xoxo

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day. I know today is a very hard day for a lot of women out there. I remember the sadness I would feel on this day when we were having trouble getting pregnant. I also think about the women who have lost their mothers and I can't even imagine. I pray that you all find strength today.

This morning Easton went to the nursery in church for the first time. Nightmare. The lady took him and he was unsure but was quickly distracted and didn't cry so I thought he would hopefully be ok and enjoy himself. Well, after church I am like George Costanza making his way out of a burning building trying to pick him up. :) We walk in and see that he is being rocked and read to by a little old lady. I saw that his paci was in...I knew that meant he had been crying. Crap. We got his attention and he saw us and instantly reached out his arms and started balling. I know we need to continue it so he can get used to it, but easier said than done. That sucked.

After the chaos of the morning we came back and Easton went down for his nap. While he did, I decided to lay out for a bit. It was nice :)
Once he woke up we decided to go up to UWF and run some sprints. Drake wants to do it every weekend now. haha We got a good workout and Easton was cracking up as we were sprinting back and forth chasing us like we were playing a game. He chugged his sippy cup when we were done.

Once we got back and showered, we finished off the day at my parent's house. So blessed to be this boy's momma. ♥
My mom :)
 My brother, Rose and Georgia
 Mom-moms, Mom and Georgia
Easton showing Pop what's up in basketball. Oh this boy and his sports :)

Drake, Easton, Pop and Brother...all my favorite boys!
Ready for another work week (NOT!) But the countdown has begun! 19 more days with my other kiddos and then it's on to summer break! woo hoo!

Party Hardy

Happy Saturday! This morning we worked on our house renovations some more, today we started back splash. I will post pictures eventually of some before and after shots once we are all done. Slowly but surely coming along. :) After Easton's nap it was time to party! First we went to Elle's pool party.
Elle with her bowl of ice :)
 Happy 2nd birthday!
Easton spent most of his time on the miniature soccer field. Where's the foul?! :)
He LOVED the soccer themed party...no surprise here.
He ran around kicking the soccer balls and played with the big kids.

Then we went straight to Dean's 2nd birthday party. Easton played bubbles and loved running in circles on the trampoline.

It was a fun day...Easton will sleep good tonight. xoxo

"the fields"

This evening we went to the soccer fields and let Easton run around. He loves being outside so much! We had a fun evening as a family. :)
 Playing tag...

 He loves dribbling.

 Love it!
 I'm such a lucky girl ♥
Easton's track start out of the blocks ha

Slow down!

The weekend is already coming to a close...it's already May...Drake turns 30 in a couple weeks...time flies. We are about to head over to the Otts house for dinner with everyone. It's been a good weekend. Kathryn texted me Thursday asking if she could swing through and stay Friday night on her drive through getting back to Jacksonville. She was here when I got home from work. We went and got our nails done and then went downtown together. We had a fun night together ♥
Saturday Easton went to Brayden's first birthday party. Easton literally has 5 birthday parties on his schedule in one month. He leads a busy social life. haha
Brayden gets all of Easton's clothes once he grows out of them...I think Easton recognized his old shorts and shoes :)

Easton devoured the food at the party and was loving his cup of popcorn.
Telling us he needs more...("MOM, THE MEATLOAF!")
He loved the slide!
The birthday boy getting his cake :)
