Lucky Duck

I am in a great mood today. :) Sometimes on Sunday evenings I get in a funk knowing that the weekend is over and it's back to work the next morning. But I am just happy today, I am so blessed and thankful for the life I have been given. We had a wonderful day as a family. We spent the afternoon at the pool. ♥

And then we headed downtown. I had a shoot, but we walked around and hung out before and after I worked. Such a pretty evening...just walking around with my guys on a quiet Sunday before the craziness of everyday life picks back up tomorrow.

A little of this, a little of that

Yay for Saturday! Sorry for the lack of complete thoughts lately, but I just wanted to hop on real quick before Easton wakes up. Here are a random pictures from the week and our weekend so far. :)

How in the world am I able to leave this guy and go to work?! Especially when I get pictures like this sent to my phone throughout the day. So sweet. ♥

It is hard to leave, but once I get there, I have a pretty awesome job! We took our kids horseback riding this week. :)

I went and played golf with my dad Thursday after work, just like the good ol days. It was fun! Pop is where Easton gets his style from. Look at that snazzy grandpa. :)

With the weather getting nice again I have been booked up with photo shoots. That means extra play money :)

This weekend has been good so far. Yesterday I got home and hung out with Easton. Here he is just smiling at Cosmo. He loves her. He will just stare at her and laugh whenever she is in the room:)

Once Drake got home we headed over to Jenn and Ronnie's house for a pajama party to celebrate Jenn's birthday. It was our usual gang. ♥ Easton and Dean had a staring contest...

This morning me and Easton went to Target and looked around and got Kendall a birthday gift for her 2nd birthday party.

It was a pool party! :) Easton really liked the water. He just hung out in his float and splashed and was kicking his legs. We had a good time.

Now we are home and cleaned off...daddy is on his way home from work! yay!!

Sleepy Monday

Mommy and daddy are sleepy today! :) Poor Easton has his first ear infection. He woke up during the night last night and we thought it was because he wet through his pjs. So we changed him...no good. Ok let's give him some milk to settle him back down...no good. Nothing was helping and it wasn't just his regular cry, it was a scream. We finally got him back to sleep, I think he was just so tired from crying so long. We were up from 1:00-3:30. Then my crazy dedicated husband proceeds to go to the gym at 4:30 for his morning workout. He's awesome! He has decided to do a physique body building contest in August and has hit the ground running. I am so excited for him. ♥ Yea, my husband is hot. :)

It was a good day at work overall and then I went and got my nails done. Ahhh manicures. Then I picked up little e and we went to the doctor to see exactly what was wrong and she confirmed an ear infection. LOVE Easton's pediatrician and it doesn't hurt that I teach her son so I texted her asking if I could stop by after work with Easton and she just lets me in the side door to check him out, calls in a prescription, and we are on our way! Sweet! Here we are picking up his meds at Walgreens. Not even an ear infection can stop this guy's coolness factor. :)

Sunday Funday!

Sunday. Ah, my favorite day of the week. The one day all year that I am guaranteed to spend the whole day with the two coolest guys in the world. Today was a pretty day after all of the rain rolled through yesterday. We packed the diaper bag full for the afternoon and headed out. We stopped by my grandma's house for a couple minutes, she always enjoys us stopping by...but then again who wouldn't?! :)

Once we left her house, we headed to Chase and Summer's house for the afternoon. We picked up Subway and ate lunch, the kids played, and we just hung out for the afternoon.

They live on the water, so we fed the turtles and fish some bread. :)

Little Elle. 11 months old...

We put our feet in the pool but it was a little too cold (mixed with the cool breeze outside) to go swimming today. Bummer. But I am excited about hanging out at their house a lot this summer with the kids!

It has been a good day. I am SO ready for summer to be here! Counting the days...off EVERYDAY with Easton and having a lot more time with Drake. So close I can taste it! Have a good week! xoxo

Saturday in a nutshell

*Started the day with a walk around the neighborhood

*Went to the park to swing and go down the slides

*Getting all of our outside time done before the rain came through.

*Now it's raining and my sweet baby is sleeping.

*The smell of candles in the house.

*Only an hour and a half until Drake is home and OFF for the rest of the weekend!

*Order pizza and watch a movie on the couch are the big plans for the night. :)

Sounds like a good day to me! ♥

Bikinis and Birthdays

I am so excited because we are officially half way through the Spring season as far as Drake's work schedule. I can't wait to get our full weekends back together. But until then, we are packing as much fun into our day and a half we get together each week. Last night we got tickets to the panhandle showdown. It is a bodybuilding/bikini competition. I went to watch my friend Carissa compete and Drake was loving watching the dudes flex. :)

This morning we were up and out the door for a family walk...

Then we headed out to Vivian's 3rd birthday party for the afternoon.

She had a Willy Wonka themed party :)



She had tons of candy at "Vivian's Chocolate Factory", a water slide and a pinata...

but don't worry, dad came to the rescue :) Drake cracks me up.

Wordless Wednesday

7 months

Oh sweet little Easton. It's already time for your monthly update?! Let's see, where to start this month...your personality is awesome! You are SO happy and lovable. Your laugh is the best sound I have ever heard. If I ever have a stressful day at work, as soon as I see you nothing else matters anymore. You smile at everyone that you catch eyes with and are not shy at all.

You are such a good eater these days! You have bottles during the day and after your 3 solid meals. A fruit and oatmeal for breakfast, veggie and fruit for lunch, and veggie and fruit for dinner. You weigh 19.5 lbs. and you are 28'' wearing a size 3 diaper. I think you are going to be tall like daddy. :)

Your teeth are really coming in and you are starting to crawl now! You make a lot of noises and movements with your mouth and always say "hey" more like a "aey" but you will say it back to us and have done it several times. ♥

You don't nap as long these days, you prefer a handful of cat naps throughout the day instead of a couple long ones. You rarely fight them anymore. When I am home with you, I will put you down and you will start to fuss and I will sing Godspeed to you and you just stare at me. Then when I get to the high notes in the verse "Oh my love will fly to you each night on angels wings" you smile really big behind your pacy. I love it. I go in and rock you even when you are already asleep these days. I just want to take advantage of getting to cuddle with you and hold you while I can.

I love you SO much sweet boy. Happy 7 months.

Destin and Easter Weekend

This weekend was AMAZING! Beautiful weather at a beautiful place. Drake and I headed out yesterday morning to Destin. On the way there, we stopped and had lunch at Mellow Mushroom-always yummy! Then it was off to The Commons to shop. Oh. my. gosh. We seriously have a problem, we were shopping for about 51/2 hours! I think the bigger problem is at one point I was sitting on a bench waiting on Drake to finish his shopping. haha We came away with some good finds so it was worth the exhaustion that was endured. :) The shopping center is outdoors so we got to enjoy the weather and shop-score!

Once we got back to the hotel, we sat out on the balcony and watched the sunset and caught our breath for a minute before getting ready for dinner. We went to eat at Louisiana Lagniappe. It was a really nice dinner with Drake. We had a nice view of the water and enjoyed really getting to taste our food and take our time. :) We talked about the last 5 years-our favorite memories, hard times we have overcome together, vacations, celebrations, sweet baby Easton...and then we talked about what our goals are for the next 5. ♥

This morning we slept in! Ahhh it was so nice! Once we got up we went down by the pool for a couple hours before heading back home. I feel refreshed and it feels amazing.

Once we got back home we enjoyed Easton's first Easter. ♥ He got some goodies from my parents and my grandma. We enjoyed hanging out at their house the rest of the afternoon and watching The Masters. Bubba Watson won, which is really neat to see...my brother and I grew up playing golf with him. I can't wait to watch Easton start playing sports, we saw some lacrosse players today in Destin and were talking about how we wished Lacrosse was more popular down here because that would be cool to watch Easton try it out. Welp...time to shower and get to bed for the work week. xoxo

Good Friday

Hooray for a 3 day weekend! Today was busy but fun running around town with little e. We started the day at the beach, I had to do a photo shoot, so Easton tagged along and just chilled in his carseat the whole time I was taking pictures. :) But he took advantage of the opportunity and added another girlfriend to his list. haha

It is such a beautiful day! AND it is supposed to be a beautiful weekend, which I am extra excited about because we head to Destin in the morning to stay the day and night to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary while my parents keep Easton. I can't wait! ♥

After we spent the morning at the beach we headed to the NAS museum.

Now we are back home and daddy just got home from work. Him and my dad are headed to a baseball game together and me, my mom, Easton, and Kylie are going to hang out for a bit before I get some laundry done so I can pack! :)
