What did we do??

What did we do before Easton? Haha I know people always say you forget your life before your kids once you have them. Easton is down for his nap right now and I went to start posting this blog and found myself reminiscing what I did last summer with Easton and then just kept going and it was weird to look at 2 summers back before he was here. Boring! :)

I have had another great week with my buddy going all over the place. I refuse to just sit at the house when I could take him out and about and let him run around and do fun things. (Although I am consuming energy drinks like a crazy lady) We went bowling this week and it is just so cool to watch Easton enjoy himself and take things in around him. He means business when it comes to the bowling alley. He pushes his ball down the ramp, watches the pins go down and then marches straight to the machine to watch his ball pop out and then points to tell us that we need to get his ball on the ramp for him again. He bowled a 63 and a 70 this time.
As we are going all over town, we do spend a good bit of time in the car. Luckily Easton thinks I am hilarious and laughs at my jokes on the way to our next stop :)
We also went to Chuck-E-Cheese (twice) And although it can be a crazy place that you may want to avoid at all costs, when you go at 9 AM and have the whole place to yourself, it's awesome! Easton loved the little machine that made fake ID badges and was cracking me up. His face would come on the screen and he would just look at himself and smile. After he got the badge he would keep pressing the button to start it again and pointing and babbling to can you not keep feeding the machine tokens when it makes him this happy?! :)
He's also a big fan of skee-ball...although he's still working on getting the ball all the way up. :)
Finally, yesterday we went to the zoo. I was anxious to see how he reacted to the animals since it has been about 6 months since we went. He was into following the animals around and checking them out.
Cracking up at them running away from him haha

 sweet boy!

He loves birds so I was excited to go to the aviary. I gave him the food stick and we went in...
He dropped it as soon as too many birds started to attack :)

 Squatting to check them out.

Then he walked around trying to catch them

Thankful for another good week! xoxo

Summer lovin

I love my summer breaks with Easton. We have been non-stop and I am exhausted...but happy :) We continue to go on bike rides a few times a day haha but we have also been swimming at the pool
and tonight we went back to the Wednesday night concerts they are having. It was pretty much deja vu from last week. Easton running back and forth up the hill, stopping for juice, dancing, and back to running.
 Playing with Pop

Jack Sparrow was there tonight...he got a high five

He did manage to squeeze in some flirting this week :)

 dancing with nanny
Sweaty and done for the night.

The Home Stretch

Tomorrow is my last day of work until I am officially on summer break for this year. So excited! I will be very busy and on the go with my little buddy as much as possible, making as many memories as we can pack into 2 months together. This week has been fun of my students gave me a gift card to Target as an end of the year gift so of course I went and bought Easton some things. :) He got a bubble blower for bath time and loves it. ♥

We had a stormy day last Sunday and were cooped up inside all day...but we made forts out of boxes, played hide and seek and took naps, don't you worry :)
The evenings this week we have been out and about. Easton will go to my bike anytime we walk through the garage and point to his seat. The other night I went for a run so Drake was forced to ride my bike while I ran haha

Last night we went over to the Otts house. It's awesome that all of my best friends are teachers as well so we get to hang out during the summer break and do beach and pool days with all the kids.
Today was a brutal day of post-planning meetings...I could never be a 9-5 worker again. My mind was at the beach already. Days drag without my kids at school.
Finally, tonight we went to new summer concert series they added in town. They have summer concerts on Tuesdays at the beach, now Wednesdays at maritime park and Thursdays downtown. This one is held at an open field so I thought we would try it out. It was awesome! Not very crowded so Easton could run around and on the water so a nice breeze.
He loves running! Check out those cute little calf muscles ♥
He was VERY interested in Mickey from a distance,
but wanted nothing to do with him up close. haha
Taking a quick break with nanny and pop
High five for dad while running. Pop says he is practicing giving the 3rd base coach a high five after a home run.
Here's a quick clip of Easton's sweet dance moves :) Love this kid!
