11 months

Emerson,
I cannot believe we are here! I just sent out your first birthday invitations! So crazy and exciting at the same time. You have loved being out and about this month and just hanging in your pack and play watching everything around you. You love being outside, bubbles, peek-a-boo, and dancing.

You have 6 teeth, wear 24 month clothes and size 3 diapers. You will stand and walk around holding onto things, and want to walk around holding someones hands, but as soon as we let go, you are still a little wobbly and unsure. You prefer crawling around 90 mph and us chasing you instead :)

I have really enjoyed having spring break with you this week and being able to cuddle with you and rock you for naps. I love you so much sweet girl and cannot imagine my life without you in it. You are so smiley and happy and are continuing to just go with the flow and enjoy whatever we are doing.

I think you are going to be one tough girl. You will let us know when you are not happy with something, or if bro bro takes a toy you wanted. :) Happy 11 months, I can't wait to celebrate you in a few weeks! ♥

Love, mom
Happy Spring! March has been busy, we finished up basketball season and on the same day had t-ball opening day :) AND in between those 2 events that day, Easton lost his first tooth! So, our t-ball picture for this year will have a fresh fallen out tooth grin :) I feel like Easton has grown up so much lately :( His last game he had 4 points and finished his first season ever with 12 points.

As Easton is busy with all of his things, Emerson is along for the ride and has no problem hanging out in her pack and play watching everything around her.

♥
Overall, we have been enjoying the time change! That means it is still light out when Drake gets home from work, so we can go on a family walk or jump on the trampoline before we start bath time. Here are some random cell phone pics from the last couple weeks...

{Drake met Easton at the zoo for his class field trip :)}

haha

This week we have been on spring break and I have been enjoying the lazy mornings and extra cuddles!

The weather was great early in the week, we were outside all day Monday and Tuesday. We went to the park, ate lunch outside and played tennis.

Then I took Emerson into the doctor because she was so congested and yucky eyes, not able to sleep at night...and she had a double ear infection. Then Easton had a fever the next day and I took him in...ear infection. So we have been at home just resting the last couple days trying to get them better.

Also, we lost a very special lady, Mrs. Nims. She is who Emerson has been staying with all year. It was one of those unexpected passings, that makes it even harder. I literally picked up Emerson on a Friday and she told me what all Emerson needed re-stocked for the next week and we said have a good weekend, see you Monday. It is crazy to me how quickly she meant so much to me-I guess when you see someone who genuinely loves your baby, you automatically have a special place in your heart for them. Aside from us, Emerson has spent most of her time with "nana" and she will be so missed! Emerson always lit up when I dropped her off in the mornings. She would always pick at nana's sparkly shirts and breakfast was always waiting for her. Emerson was there about half an hour before any other babies got there, so I know they had their special bond spending that one on one time together. We will miss her! ♥
So, between the sickness and the news of Mrs. Nims, we have been bumming the last couple days. Today I will get caught up on cleaning, bills and other things around the house so that hopefully tomorrow everyone is feeling better and we can enjoy the weekend as a family before back to our routine on Monday.

Vacation and Visits

Hey! Everything is going good at the Wade house. The last couple weeks have been very busy! Let's back up to Valentines Day...Easton was really into it this year and I was so happy to watch him awkwardly pass out Valentines to some girls at school :) All in all, it has been a big blessing to be where I am! I still miss my old co-workers, but we keep in touch and from what I am hearing, I left at a good time. Now I get to ride to and from work with this nugget everyday...oh and the Kindergarten teacher everyone said is so awesome that I had my eye on for Easton next year, was thinking of retiring at the end of this year, but is staying one more year, so I talked to her the other day about requesting her and I am really excited about it! Even though Easton has been in preschool at the elementary school for 3 years already and I am at his school, I still feel like it will be emotional at the start of next year...Kindergarten just makes his big boy status feel so official. He also has his first loose tooth! I have one baby getting teeth and the other one losing teeth.
Poor Emerson has been teething and is constantly snotty and not feeling great lately. The joys of daycare :( But she is a trooper overall! It just means we still are getting up in the night with this silly girl ♥
She celebrated 10 months! She has 4 teeth-she actually got her bottom middle two, and then the two upper teeth on each side of where her middle teeth should be...so she will have an interesting smile for a while haha She is in 18/24 month clothes, loves every food she has tried, loves being outside and playing with brother on the trampoline or bed. She is now able to stand by herself, and will walk around holding onto things, but as soon as she lets go she is not sure about taking the steps all by herself.
She had her first go at a several hour car ride trip! We went to Atlanta for the three day weekend and it was exhausting but a lot of fun! Easton loved the elevators! :)

The first evening there we went to eat and went to the Lego Discovery center.
Easton really liked the 4d movie we got to see.
Then the next day we spent the day at Stone Mountain and enjoyed Snow Mountain Park. It was just blown snow and actually ended up being a beautiful day, cool when we got there in the morning and then around 72 degrees later in the day!

Emerson enjoyed eating the snow :)
Easton loved the kids tubing!
The giant tube...well we have a nice picture to remember it. He said he was scared and then he liked it, but turned down the offers to ride it again. :)

The next day we got up and did a couple things around Atlanta before making the drive home. We had to stop at the cupcake ATM! All in all, it was a successful trip and I'm glad we went!
During the week, we are staying busy with practice, since basketball and t-ball overlap. If we don't have practice we are hanging at the house and getting dinners going, trying to do laundry and dishes before Drake gets home so they don't pile up for the weekend.

Last weekend, Drake's dad and Kim came to visit us. They were able to see Easton play basketball which was nice, he had 4 points his last two games and is overall enjoying his season.

After the game we went straight to the beach. It was gorgeous! Cool breeze and comfortable weather. Emerson under an umbrella in her pack-n-play content as can be, Easton throwing balls and playing with Pudgie, meant we were out there I think almost 4 hours!

After we left, we stayed out at the beach for dinner outside. It was a great day!

Finishing up at the boardwalk with ice cream and shopping.

It was overall a wonderful February! I can't believe it's already March. Only 2 weeks of school and we are on Spring Break! SO excited!
